Well, my experiences with the UGreen DXP6800 Pro is well documented over on r/UgreenNASync but here's a quick summary. The hardware is freaking phenomenal. I absolutely love it for what it is, the build quality is excellent and I ran unRAID on it for over a year. "Re-Pasting" the CPU with PTM7950 ma

The Pro is what i would buy and would be exactly what i wanted for a NAS. But i bought a DXP6800 Pro a few weeks ago to replace my Synology and i am having a bad time with it and already sold the Synology, so i can't go back. The DXP6800 Pro is loud and the cpu is constantly reaching 100º Celsius an

I recently bought ugreen dxp2800 2 day and its been super simple. Setup is fast and easy. Mostly using docker and been a few days and no complaints. Learning curve is quick imo. Few issues due to my lack of knowledge but already figured it out. I love it so far. I have a mini pc on debian 13 for gam

This is super interesting to hear. I'm currently looking at two NAS models for my potential use case: the Synology DS1525+ and the Ugreen DXP6800 Pro. The things I want to do: NAS Tailscale Plex, either on- or near-device With: Non-matching drive sizes 10gbps ethernet (have 10gbps home devices and 5

ugreen with truenas seems like a good alternative if you are in love with the small footprint, vertical, removable hotswap drive caddy bays synology uses, I have to admit I also like the function and form of this style of chassis a lot, way more compact than even the smallest itx boxes. And your onl

You can, yes. There are a lot of options too. There's the inbuilt sync from a PC/Mac that it supports from the Ugreen app. Haven't used that one myself so far, as most my stuff goes to a Time Machine (use Mac for my daily driver) Then there's more than a dozen options in the way of Docker containers

The 920/1520+ series was the pinnacle in this range. I have the ds918+ so didn't need to get one, and it was also excellent. But, with the announcement of the 25 series, I have already moved to UGreen DXP6800 Pro with TruNAS and relegated the Synology to backup duty until it dies.

i know it is more expensive, BUT, if you get something like the Ugreen NAS DXP6800 Pro that unit has 6x bays rather than 2, so you already have expandability, BUT it has a PCIe expansion slot. you could in the future add an HBA card to the system to allow you to add expansion JBOD chassis or similar
