Just get a good VIOFO. A129 pro duo is what I have in 3 cars. They have newer ones too.

Viofo A129 Pro Duo. I'm a dashcam nerd and have tested quite a few, so yes I would recommend this one highly. Relatively cheap for front and back cameras (around $180) and HD recording.

I have Viofo A129 pro duos in both my cars and think they're great. There's newer ones for more money, A229 and A329, probably worth it. I can generally read license plates ok, but sometimes the video isn't quite good enough. Here's a good comparison review of many if you want something cheaper.

Viofo A129 Pro Duo has been in my truck for three years now including Texas summers where the cab gets over 140. Still records clean. The capacitor model handles heat way better than the ones with lithium batteries. Those will puff up and die in one summer if you leave it hardwired.

I lease mine and didn't want to hardwire. I got a VIOFO A129 pro duo front and rear cam, the cable for the power and rear camera run under the seal on the a pillar and around the door, then under the passenger rear may and into yhe plugs in the centre console. The rear camera runs around the trim to

My VIOFO A129 Pro Duo has survived two cars in 3 years and is hardwired. Couldn’t recommend more for front and rear coverage, especially when parked.

I have the viofo a129 pro duo 4k It's been so so. Had to replace it after 6 yr due to front cam not working. Cant connect to it on a consistent basis maybe a user error on my part. I have a card inserted as well. I have mine hardwired for parking mode mainly.
