What on earth is this?
Viofo a329 is one of the best on the market and is the same price. Even the a129 or a229 at half the cost is better than the OEM one.

Best dashcams in Australia that cost less than $250? Or should I just get a BlackVue one for $1.5k?
I'm very happy with my Viofo A329.

Dashcam recommendations
If your budget allows, I highly recommend the Viofo A329S. If you’re looking to spend a bit less, and practically half the price is the Viofo A229 Pro. It's a solid step down that still delivers excellent video quality and reliability. You can find a few videos on it comparing the two together side

To the POS who hit my car in the PetSmart parking lot in Mohegan Lake on Saturday...
VIOFO a329s I think. Im not entirely sure of the model but I think that’s it. They make a few 3 channel options. One has a telephoto instead of interior so don’t get them mixed up. I also use the VIOFO battery. When setting up parking mode, be sure to use a timelapse setting. The low bitrate option

Dash Cam: Front + Rear or Front Only
You can always think about it like this, would you rather have the rear video or end up in a situation where you wish you had the rear video. And second to u/UnshapedSky comment, pop off the A-pillar trim but don't remove it all the way, and run the cable up and over the airbag so it doesn't interfe

Dashcam for MachE?
I like Viofo (I use both the A229 and A329 in different vehicles) but Rove also makes good ones.

Buy a dashcam
So true. First one I got was in 2016, a Garmin NuviCam LMTHD. I balked at it initially as it was $520. In March 2017, I was reversed into and without the dash cam, my insurance would have gone up a lot more than $500 over the span. Well worth the price at the time. It’s hard driving now without one.

Opinions on Dash Cams?
Viofo A229. A329 is coming out if you want the latest and greatest. Get the hardwire kit also, allows you to wire to the fusebox.

Best Dash Cam for Ioniq 6 (Standard Range)? Low power consumption & Park Mode is a must!
All parking modes are the same in terms of them working based on a low voltage cutoff that you define. There isn't any concern about the car throwing errors from this with any brand. There's also a time-based cut off in many cameras, but that's kind of useless IMO. You have a few things to be concer

Highest quality front and rear setup
The A329 series is currently the top-of-the-line/flagship product from VIOFO. This system includes the 4K forward facing main wide angle camera which is built into the main chassis. I would suggest purchasing the A329S three channel package if you would like to have an interior camera included, or t
