AI Paper vs Boox 10.3 Lumi

I have the Aipaper and the Go 10.3 gen 1. I much prefer the Viwoods, for the following reasons: The screen is noticeably whiter. This is a bigger deal for gen 1, which does not have a front light. The Go 10.3 screen is just dark enough to be a bother, and the Viwoods is just light enough for me to b

This Or Manta?

Viwoods is definitely better for apps. Even though you can sideload apps on Supernote, switching between apps is a total pain on that device. Viwoods has an “app drawer”. File management is probably better on the Manta if that is important to you? Honestly I don’t even have time to get into that. Bu

Why there are no 8 inch erearers?

I was going to recommend this. I have the Viwoods AiPaper Mini and I love it! It has a really bright screen with front light. It runs Android so you can put whatever reading app you prefer.

The Importance of Software & Why I Returned the Boox Note Air 4C (Full Review)

I love that! So well put. I have amassed a little collection of e ink devices. Inc Viwoods ai paper and a Boox go. In theory they should be incredibly similar. Same Size more or less, android etc etc. however they really are quite different. This was my first ever experience of android. I found the

Return of AiPaper bought through Amazon

I agree with you about syncing. I also have an AI Paper and AI Paper Mini, which does not work together. I keep my AI Paper in the belief that Viwoods is working on making sync possible. I cannot imagine that they do not listen to their customers.

E-ink for typing?

Any Android e-ink tablet will give you an on-screen keyboard like an iPad. From what I own, the ViWoods AiPaper is probably the closest fit: no front light (so easier on the eyes), simple UI, and you can just type in any Android app. If you want smaller, the BOOX Palma Pro is a nice “mini” option, b

Amazing, But Unintuitive

Thanks for sharing this. I think many of us here can relate to that "figuring it out" phase. In fact, I now own all three Viwoods devices – the AiPaper, the Mini, and the Reader – but my path here was anything but linear. I have gone back and forth between different systems more times than I would l

The Importance of Software & Why I Returned the Boox Note Air 4C (Full Review)

[...] This one feature makes it so that you can display whatever list or info or calendar or cheer-me-up pic or motto permanently on the screen while not using up any battery. (Not that it would matter much with the Mini, as the battery performance is astonishing anyway!) For me, this is what makes

Product Advice

The Go 7 is probably the choice for price and portability. There is no Go 8 and from what I’ve been reading there is not one on the horizon. There is a discontinued Tab Mini C (7.8 inch screen) if you can find one. (Mine is not for sale!) However, the ViWoods AI Paper Mini is 8.2 inches and seems to

Best e-reader for non-fiction epubs and note-taking?

For note taking I would recommend staying away from the Kobo Libra Color. It's not a pleasant writing surface. The ViWoods AiPaper Mini with 8.2'' runs android, so you can try different apps for reading. Boox can be hit or miss, make sure to specifically research each device you're considering. Some
