picked up an used HHKB and I hate how much more I like it compared to my custom builds

I have an old Realforce 87U TKL 55g Topre and still love it. It’s my daily driver. Am interested in an HHKB. I have an old programmable Vortex Pok3r 60% w/ soldered Cherry MX Greens. I still have a hard time with the 60% layout, and get frustrated. But I’m hoping the HHKB will be more intuitive and

Realforce 87U TKL 55g Topre Vortex Pok3r 60% w/ soldered Cherry MX Greens. big fan of Caps Lock as Ctrl A true OG I wanted that pok3r with greens so badly, had to settle for blues cause stock was so spotty back then. Sold mine years ago, used the money to buy the 87U 55g I’m hoping the HHKB will be

First Time Driver Entry issue

That's not like someone is actually shipping HE boards with open source software. I might be interested in a Pok3r-compatible HE board, especially if it's compatible with the GMMK silent panda HE switches. Not a 65% that only fits the Bakeneko... and your second link is just to the sub.

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - September 30, 2025

I’ve been away from the community for several years and coming back has been disorienting, in a good way! I love the new smaller form factors (65-75% are very interesting to me), lot more custom. My questions are: if you need the escape key as well as ` and ~ keys, how easy is it to get used to the

Hey all, I'm a huge fan of the vortex pok3r since I ever got my first one many, many years ago. I still use it daily, it never failed me. Over the years, I collected a few more pok3rs so that I don't have to carry any around, but noticed that especially more recent ones have some technical or qualit

What brands are good these days? There are so many more brands than the last time I bought a board ten years ago. I'm in the market for something new that will feel at least as good as my vortex Pok3r, that is easy to program (via?), is hot swappable, and is probably a 65-75% board. I love my 60% bu

C’est quoi votre plus gros regret hardware ?

Un clavier mécanique 60% pok3r hors de prix (plus de 200€) switch cherry MX red. Il est incroyable mais un 100% mécanique me conviendrait mieux

First custom keyboard build, need advice

OK, this isn't a $500 build but I put this one together for about $150 and just love it. It's a 60% with a minila layout that gives you arrow keys back, split backspace, zebrawood case, built from parts from different vendors. The wooden case makes it a legit percussion instrument. I started out wi

1 Week on a 60% Keyboard: What I Actually Miss

I used to do heavy text work across only one language.I used a 40% (Vortex Core) which is less annoying than a 60%. I would switch between a TKL at home and a 40 at work.My 40% died and I got a Vortex Pok3r. Strongly dislike the Pok3r, with 60% there is some stuff you in layers for and some not. The
