Wharfdale Linton or Klipsch RP-600MII

Wharfedale all the way . I own the Klipsch RP 600m II and I hated them. Absolutely hated the boosted highs and scooped out mids. No warmth or details. Just screechy highs. I bought the Lintons and I’ve never been happier.

PSA: KEF R5 Metas are on sale, around 3K a pair

That’s about what I paid when they went on sale in March pre-tariffs. They are great speakers for 2 channel listening and definitely good value at that $1500/speaker. I chose these over the Wharfedale super lintons due to their better clarity and sharpness.

Speakers for 3 grand, EU, warmer sound

Always try to get speakers secondhand if you can - they are mostly wooden boxes, so furniture, not tech. Harbeth is the first name that springs to mind for what you say you want, with Spendor Classic equally appealing and Sonus Faber options not that far behind. Harbeth Super HL5 and Spendor Classic

Klipsch Heritage speakers don't just sound live, they are live (Theory)

I’ve gone back and forth on klipsch. Had a chance to buy the heresy iv. I bought Kef instead and am happy. On the verge of buying again now and deciding between Kef and wharfedale super lintons. I just have heard people say that klipsch are great BUT BUT BUT BUT….you know? They look amazing. But the

Floor Standing Speaker Selection for "Extreme" Music Genres

I was running Focal Alpha 50 studio monitors for a while and I remember being amazed at how grating my favorite music could sound. But they could really dig up a lot of detail. Based on the feedback here, Wharfedale Linton are looking like a top choice. The Dynaudio Evoke series sounds really excell

Wharfedale Linton vs Super Linton vs KLH Model Five

I used to own the KLH Model 5 and I now own the Linton 85th. I purchased the Model 5s a few years ago in a different house and they were in a big living room. Initially paired with a Yamaha RN801, I upgraded to a Rotel 1592Mk2, which was a vast improvement. I loved this setup, a great sound for most

Wharfedale Linton Heritage?

I found a new one for 1500usd, with stands. Wharfedale Linton Heritage. I'm just afraid it'll fade the details in complex music. Btw, I love to play Björk and eletronic, so I would love to listen to the details and beats, but still keep the warmth from them. What do you think about it? I would still

In your opinion, what would be the opposite of my Wharfedale Lintons in terms of sound?

Just an empty room with nothing in it. But seriously... You don't want the opposite. That would be terrible. How about 'solving' the upper end clarity of the Wharfedale Lintons? Well, the Super Lintons do that. They are superior in every way.

In your opinion, what would be the opposite of my Wharfedale Lintons in terms of sound?

Haven't heard the Linton Heritage 's but I reckon they got a retro 70's style soundstage = warm, laid back, forgiving, not the best resolution, speed or forward mids &/ treble. My previous floorstanders were like that + pretty dark. They were not in the 2k range tho. Get yourself the floorstander th
