Finally: Super Linton
I love the Super Lintons and use them in my TV setup as well. Not a fan of running speaker cables in the wall though. 2.0 isn’t ideal for TV listening, especially with dialog, so I added a center, a Wharfedale Evo 5.C, and switched from an integrated amplifier to an AVR … what a difference that made

Advice for bookshelf speakers
Wharfedale Linton 85s. We love ours. They sound good with anything.. and definitely level up with better amplification. We went from a Cambridge AXR85 to a Marantz 40n and they sound gorgeous.

Speakers for home theater versus music
Speakers don't care what sound comes out of them. As long as they're capable of making sound in the frequency range you desire...they could care less whether it's for home theater or musical purposes. However, speakers are highly dependent on the room. For instance, it makes no sense to get an audio

Speakers for tube amp / Live Grateful Dead
They aren’t floor standing in the traditional sense, but Wharfedale super lintons are in my opinion perfect for old Dead recordings.

Most cheapest best possible setup for listening to jazz?
Wharfedale Linton's play jazz fantastically. They also so much look the part. Not sure what your amp situation looks like but they did great with a Cambridge AXR85. And sound absolutely amazing with a Marantz 40n. They aren't fussy but definitely level up with better amplification.

Floor Standing Speaker Selection for "Extreme" Music Genres
I am new to the speaker game (formerly headphones) and i have a similar budget and listening styles (everything from classical piano to Hozier to metal like Periphery or ETID) and i will say so far on my auditioning journey, the Dynaudio Evoke and the Wharfedale Linton have been my favorites. Speaker Upgrade debacle
Have you considered Wharfedale Linton or Super Linton? They sounds like the logical upgrade to me

I think I'm in over my head (and beyond my financial means)
Grab a schiit saga and modi from schiit and check out wharfedale b stock - they have lintons for 1299 without stands (with the stands ship out you at around 2k). Once you become comfortable with the setup, you can upgrade the preamp etc.

First HiFi setup for electronic music (Techno/House) – €1.000–1.500, open-plan attic, Germany
Check second hand Hegel H80s for the amp, if you like the Røst sound, you should be able to score one for under 500€. For techno, I would not recommend a wharfedale linton, I own a set but I don't think the sound signature is good for electronic music. Maybe dynaudio would be an inteesting choice

Germany: Gym Setup (5m x 9m x 2,6m) with 5k€ budget. Sitting distance varies
Wharfedale super lintons + WiiM Amp Ultra. That should give you enough bass if not you can add a subwoofer as well later.
