The science behind the Xbox Controller and why the left thumbstick placement is superior

I will die on this hill till the end of time. The ps5 controller is the the most comfortable of all Playstation controllers but will never compare to Xbox due to left joystick location.

Steam Controller Pcgamer Review : 83/100

i read one review that said it’s ergonomics aren’t great, likely due to hand size. my hands are small (i wear child sized gloves) and the xbox controller is really uncomfortable for me. but my OLED steam deck is real comfy. idk

Xbox 360 2005

I think it was because the 360 was (for me) the culmination of so many modern console ideas into a working model, it just started out revolutionary and kept evolving over the years. So many concepts that are considered for granted today was right out of the box- where before, these concepts were add

What is the best/favorite controller for PS5 Pro

I prefer the Xbox layout too even though I’m a PS player. I find the Nacon even more comfortable than the XB controller. The grips feel more ergonomic and don’t come down to a sharp point like other controllers

That was fast

I mean that’s fair, but the reason I use an elite 2 controller is that nothing else comes close to the feeling of it in your hand. It feels so premium compared to any other controller, it’s just a shame it has so many issues. And I’d argue this controller is closer to an Elite than a normal Xbox con

The elite Series 2 controller is shamefully bad. The rubber is falling off and one of the bumpers is broken. Barely any usage.

I've also asked about actual good ones (as in 4 rear buttons) and got some recommendations before. Here's 3 that I thought looked alright that I've bookmarked for when my current Elite Series 2 becomes unusable. https://www.turtlebeach.com/products/victrix-pro-bfg-reloaded-wireless-controller?Platfo

How reliable is the Xbox Elite Series 2 in 2026?

Honestly I've had about 1 Elite series 1 controller and about 3 Elite Series 2 controllers. They ALWAYS lose the grip or get stick drift. There was not one of them who didn't lose the grip between the first couple months. Even a regular controllers have lasted longer. I can't believe I wasted $1000

Isn't it a good thing? Sorry I live under a cave.

Well, you definitely put words into my mouth there. I never said anything about discounted sale prices, I only talked about the baseline price of games. You will see more sale prices on PC games though, since you mentioned it. Steam Sales are popular for a reason. As for the controller and setup time

Just got a G8 Galileo

Other than the tight placement between the action buttons and the right stick, it is a really well built piece of tech. It feels in the hand just a solid as an XB controller. It's not the precise shape, but quality wise feels just as nice. Once I got everything dialed in, it works really well on xbo

The whole thing just looks really uncomfortable to hold, gives me OG Xbox controller vibes.
