I have same m4 pro ipad as well. First I tried Xbox wireless controller with bluetooth. It was fine at first and got drifting issues in couples of months. Now I’m stick with 8bitdo ultimate 2 and it’s seamless with my ipad with no issues

I think regular Xbox wireless controllers don't have the hall effect.

How reliable is the Xbox Elite Series 2 in 2026?

Honestly I've had about 1 Elite series 1 controller and about 3 Elite Series 2 controllers. They ALWAYS lose the grip or get stick drift. There was not one of them who didn't lose the grip between the first couple months. Even a regular controllers have lasted longer. I can't believe I wasted $1000

Controller for the series x

If you look up 'pro xbox wireless controllers' there are a good bunch. Just make sure they say tmr or hall effect sticks since they won't get stick drift which is VERY annoying once a normal controller gets it.

Recommend NON-XBOX Controller?

I've had a gamesir for over 2 years now and it works great still. I've not been able to get a stock xbox wireless controller to last a year without stick drift.

Alternative to series 2 pro

The ROG Rakiri II has been great so far. Been using it about three months and no complaints. Only slight gripe is that they haven’t released a gearlink app on Xbox for it yet, so you need to pair it to your PC to re-map your paddles and change your settings. Only takes a couple minutes if you have a

Need new controller, in search of ideas for new one

I was in the same exact situation as you not to long ago looking & asking here for a new controller with Hall sticks but with Xbox wireless controller features or as close as possible to the same design as Xbox's controllers as I could get. I ended up settling on buying a controller that's just had
