Still deciding if the LG 27GM950B-B is a keeper
After having had this monitor for two days, and really wanting to like it, I am leaning towards returning it now. Here are the reasons: Local dimming is bad in desktop apps. Apple gets this right with the same amount of dimming zones and similar native contrast on the Studio Display XDR. Why can no

Studio Display or Kuycon G32P?
Not sure what you mean "how well does it integrate with a Mac"? - It doesn't have speakers or a webcam, so those aren't issues.- It works well with Better Display or MonitorControl, so Brightness levels can be keyboard controlled.- It is a 6k, 32" monitor, so it has perfect retina scaling.- It conne

Best Monitor for Print Photography (Eizo CG2700X or Apple Studio Display XDR)
The Studio Display XDR seems really impressive and we’ll need to see how well the mini LED tech performs as it is constantly getting better and I would expect Apple to have a good algorithm. If you can’t tell the difference between it and an OLED then it would almost be a perfect display. I don’t th

Has anyone tested the Studio Display (XDR) on Intel Macs / Windows PCs yet?
UPDATE: I brought my Dell Latitude 3520 work laptop into the Apple Store and plugged it into the SD XDR using the Thunderbolt 5 cable and could not get it above 1080p 60hz. It showed “Wired Display” in settings and I wasn’t able to control brightness (not surprised). But it looked beautiful even at

Studio Display XDR - Worth it!
This was pretty much me. I bought 2 of them. I had 2 - 4k Dell Ultrasharps and I had seen the studio and pro displays in person and the text was just incredibly sharp. I work on a mac all day and then do personal projects on a diff mac. I have one issue with the m4 pro not lighting up both monitors

Photographers, REJOICE! Studio Display (XDR) FW update brings calibration!
Apple released a significant firmware update (Version 26.4) today, March 24, 2026, specifically for the new Studio Display (2026) and the Studio Display XDR that launched earlier this month. While Apple’s official release notes are often "concise" (to put it politely), early documentation and user r

Are there any good 6K 32" monitors with decent NITS on the horizon?
Yeah, like the other person said, Apple built what you wanted 6 years ago. They were and still are far ahead of the game. It's been out so long it was discontinued recently, with the release of the Studio Display XDR (5K 27" miniLED 120Hz with 2304 dimming zones, the Pro Display XDR was 6K 32" but ha

Studio Display XDR owners, what are your opinions on the display?
Got mine for some days now, paired with my 14" M3 Max MacBook Pro. I got the glossy one, because Nano Texture ruins sharpness for me and I really don't need it either. I work with photo and video, doing editing and color, and I am very very sensitive to picture quality. I have to say that overall is

32” Monitor for Mac Studio: Buy now or wait for CES/WWDC 2026?
Yeah, plus the better PQ the Apple will have, I mean watching video of the Kuycon next to the old 32” Pro Display XDR and the Pro Display clearly has better PQ. Plus I was looking at Kef speakers and stands which as I am in the UK cost around £1300, add that to the roughly £1300 Kuycon monitor price

Studio Display (2026) vs. Studio Display XDR vs. Alternatives
I'll be honest, I've always wanted the Studio Display but it's always been well out of my budget. About 5 years ago I think bought a Dell UltraSharp 27" 4K which was a massive upgrade coming from a crappy AOC 24" 1080p TN panel. As I use my parents M4 iMac when visiting them I do notice the amount of
