Game Ready & Studio Driver 595.79 FAQ/Discussion
LFC is broken on this driver and the 7 that have come before it. LFC engages too early (on a monitor with VRR range 48-240Hz, it will engage when a game is running at a stable 60fps, causing the monitor refresh rate to double to 120Hz, and leading to more perceived stutter). On drivers 581.80, and h

NS2 Edition is finally out
4K looks fantastic, but the image is juddering really bad for me when walking left and right (everything around me looks like it's shaking horizontally). It's really distracting. I have a ROG 4K OLED (PG27UCDM). Issue does not occur with any other games. I tried the 3.0 update before the Switch 2 Ed

RTX 5080, a 1440p or 4k Monitor?
Buy the 4k monitor. I’ve got a 5080 also and paired it with a PG27UCDM from Asus. The thing looks beautiful and the 5080 is plenty of power. Also, DLSS looks MUCH better when running at higher resolutions. I think it produces and beautiful image and it’s much better than native with TAA.

Still deciding if the LG 27GM950B-B is a keeper
I baked this LG GM9 off with the latest QD-OLED (Asus PG27UCDM) and kept the LG GM9 because for coding during the day the brightness is unbeatable. Especially if you’re coming from an Apple monitor like the 2022 Studio Display, OLED is going to be a rough transition. If you’re only gaming and watchi

LG Display unveils 5k 27" 120hz tandem OLED panel with RGB Stripe Sub-Pixel Layout
Is what people who never used 220ppi at 27 inches always say. I have an Apple Studio Display mounted next to a Asus PG27UCDM 27 inch 4k qd oled. The difference is tremendous.

Deliberately Burning In My QD-OLED Monitor - 18 Month Update - Monitors Unboxed
I was firmly in team IPS ever since my first LCD panel monitor. I just accepted the back light bleed issue as the cost of doing business. I upgraded from an IPS 4k monitor with dimmable LED array and gsync, to an Asus ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM. I upgraded around April of 2024, and over the last year+

Still deciding if the LG 27GM950B-B is a keeper
In practice, with SDR + Local Dimming off, even though "they should look the same", the LG GM9 looks WAAAY better than the ASUS ROG Strix XG27JCG. Source: I had them both at the same time, used them back-to-back days. The LG is just a much better looking display, for whatever reason (better finish,

The Studio XDR is something else
The PG27UCDM struggles to track the EOTF curve beyond 400 nits. The Studio Display XDR stays accurate even at 2000 nits.
