I use Asus ZenWifi XT8 mesh system (3 nodes) - detached house - all working flawlessly (cat 6 for ATV/Macs/gaming and wifi 6 for iPhones/security cameras etc.). I've got Asus AiMesh (it was called that before the recent AI boom) and it works very well. I have an RT-BE92U as my main router and then two ZenWifi XT8's and an RP-AX56. I had the ZenWifi's before buying the BE92U in AiMesh and upgraded to the BE92U and kept the old routers to expand my coverage.

I found it a humorous you mentioned you want WiFi 6 for "future proofing." FYI WiFi 6E and WiFi 7 have already been released, so WiFi 6 is already "in the past". I would NOT buy the BT10. I think $999 for mesh is way too costly. I'm a bit of a frugal person, so even $549 seems like a lot for three BT8 units. Interesting that Best Buy doesn't call it BT8, but if you compare the specs to ASUS's website for the BT8, it looks like it's the BT8 at Best Buy for $5

The ASUS XT8 mesh system has worked well for me. It's only WiFi 6 (still has lots of life left in it; WiFi 7 is still fairly new, not well established yet in my opinion) and I think WiFi 6 is a good value right now. When I got Glofiber they had to run wires to and through my house so that is when they hooked up my original router. I switched to my new router a few years ago and did it all myself and haven’t had any issues. Their ONT fiber box is easy enough to run an Ethernet wire from. Take a look at reviews.
