Cheap Router/mesh system for Apartment

Asus XT9 (AX 6e) should do the trick. Wired backhaul or dedicated 5ghz channel for backhaul should work very well for your situation, and more than adequate for 1 GB connection. I personally have an ASUS AXE7800 as my main router with two XD6 as nodes in an 1800 square foot house (two-story with bas

Cheap Router/mesh system for Apartment

u/crispysmoove I agree with u/TheImmortal_TK that ASUS would be a solid pick for you. BTW I have the slightly older ASUS XT8 mesh system and it works well in wireless backhaul, as it's tri-band WiFi 6 (2.4/5/5ghz bands). One of the 5ghz bands is dedicated to mesh traffic and the other 5ghz is just f

router or mesh

I'm confident someone will suggest the best solution is not a router or mesh, but router + APs (access points) -- and I'd agree with them. To set that up you'd need to connect the APs via ethernet to the router. If that is possible, it will give you better and more reliable speeds throughout the hom

Sky Stream is so buggy - should I switch to Q?

The key to 4K streaming on Stream is a strong stable WiFi signal or ethernet connection. I live in a 3 storey house and purchased an Asus mesh XT9 system which shares the broadband from the hallway. With good broadband your Stream should be fine (mine was). However, I cancelled for Sky's Now TV app

Third this. I've had Asus minis before and currently 4 XT9's. No issues.

How is ASUS getting away with broken Adaptive QoS on Wifi 7 routers?

It’s a client behind the XT9 mesh. The raw bandwidth is great, but the Broadcom chip in the main ASUS router is handling the traffic queues terribly under load. Because it's Broadcom, turning on any form of SQM or the Bandwidth Limiter completely breaks hardware acceleration and tanks the CPU, so I'

I am moving! 1 story apt to 3 story house.

Ok. So i did some digging. I was Looking into the zenwifi xt9 (which I Can get a new pair of at around 200$), because I would be able to use my ax86upro as the main node and then mesh (wireless backhaul). However, I have read so many frustrating posts here bashing the connection and stability on the

Best WiFi 6 router right now for a typical home setup?

I would go for the ASUS XT9. You can get two routers for about $200 currently. They do a fantastic job. If you want to upgrade to Wi-Fi 6e (I would recommend) you can get the ET9 model for about $30 more.

Wifi performance - best ISP provider hub

My ISP (Aquiss) supplies no hub or network equipment whatsoever. The speed, strength and reliability of my network is only as good as the equipment I purchase and use, which currently is 3 x Asus XT9 and an ancient Asus AC58U. System works a treat in my 3 storey house
