What espresso machine did you start on, and would you recommend it to a beginner today?
I’m super new and bought a Breville Bambino Plus. I love it lol. However, I have to upgrade my grinder haha.

Need Help Choosing Coffee Machine☕️☕️
Love the different views this topic will generate :) Barista Express (and most of the all-in-one Breville's) are good in the longish term. Parts fail and these machines have limited repairability. I have a refurb, and this is my second personal Breville machine, and 4th of their's I've bought/used o

Overwhelmed...make it simple for me
If you want to keep things simple (and keep your sanity), here’s the cleanest Bambino Plus setup Grinder: DF54 or Encore ESP. Super straightforward, very forgiving, won’t make you spiral. Portafilter: A 54mm bottomless. Makes dialing in way easier no more guessing if the shot is good or if the machi

Budget is not a problem, but I can’t find an option better than Bambino, why?
Same for me mate. Budget aside, the convenience of the bambino plus outweighs the improvements I would get with more expensive machines. I can turn the machine on anytime of the day and get a better shot than in most cafes 2minutes later. If Breville comes up with a premium version of the Bambino pl

Help Me Buy a Machine from Costco [$500]
Buy a Breville Bambino Plus (a variety of colors) for $399 and a DF64 Version 2.5 (also a variety of colors now) from EspressoOutlet.com (pre-order) for $359. These two machines will have you making outstanding espresso and will last you five years + (at a minimum) while you learn to become an exper

What is the Best Espresso Machine for daily use as of today 2026?
I’ve played with a lot of coffee equipment over the years. While I don’t have a breville on my coffee bar, I really like them! I used the Barista Pro for a while and think it’s a good machine for most people who just want some decent espresso. What I don’t like about it is the built in grinder. I’ve

What’s something you adopted into your lifestyle after visiting another country?
Yeah I’m aware. But this post is about what changed after traveling abroad and the common thread here is “coffee.” Next time I’ll make a new comment explaining in detail how I went from my Techni Vorm Moccamaster with Costco beans to my Breville Bambino Plus with locally roasted beans bought ~every

Want to get my barista babysitter an espresso machine for a college goodbye gift. Something comparable to Breville barista pro or touch, but less expensive. [$400]
I’d get a Breville bambino and a kingrinder k6. If she doesn’t mind something used then find a used bambino plus for $250-300 and then you’re set. That’s my travel rig and it’s honestly better coffee than my 58mm machine and dedicated grinder

I analyzed +4,000 r/espresso set-up flairs. The median setup costs $2.8k, the Bambino reigns supreme, and people are running a $4,000 grinder with a $300 machine. Here is the data.
honestly, if you're on the fence on which model to get, the breville bambino plus really is the best for the price, especially when they're on sale. 3 second warmup, popular so there are plenty of aftermarket things to fiddle with if you're into that. i love mine, but i hear that it's not consistent

Best beginner machine?
Get a good grinder like a DF54 or a Baratza Encore ESP Pro and a Breville Bambino Plus and you'll be making great coffee so long as you also have good coffee
