Suggestion about possible alternatives to the Olympus E-M1 III
I have the em1ii with the 12-40f2.8 and the 40-150f2.8. I enjoy the system overall but recently decided to run a dual setup with canon r6iii paired with the 24-105 and 100-500. Honestly, I’m actually enjoying the canon a lot more. It isn’t as heavy as I’d feared and the IQ is incredible. I originall

FX3 or R6V
Imo the FX3 doesn’t generally would make sense in a vacuum but there is competition and Sony has allegedly registered the FX3ii which means it will probably be released soon. I think the biggest pros for the FX3 are lowlight, great autofocus, easy to edit files, full sensor 4k and also compatibility

Double down on Canon while moving to interview filming from photography?
You have pretty great camera for docs really, and w24-70 is great too The main problem with canon is that it’s expensive not underperforming. Now if you wanted 2 more R6ii or r6iii and 3x24-70… it gets pricy. R5m1 is overheating but the rest is rather fine. I doubt 70-200 will be that useful but wit

Canon R6 III vs Nikon Z6 III
Go with the Z6III.R6III is the little bit better camera, it has better AF, more MPX, opengate video etc, but as you said, lenses are more expensive, and you cannot buy 3rd party lenses for RF mount. On the other hand, Z6III is great...AF is fast, 24mpx is more than enough, it has raw video, and you c

Considering switching Nikon to canon
I shoot with three Z9s. Used to have the Z6II also + tried the Z6III as well. Had a D750 until the D850 came out (think the D850 is the king of all non-integrated battery grip DSLRs). A few of my second shooters use R5s/R6 IIIs, A7 IVs and their AF isn't any better from what I see in RAWs. The Nikon

Lumix S1II vs. Canon R6 III
Hmm. Thanks for the input. R6iii has false color as well, as far as I know. Def leaning towards Lumix, but for what I need I think they're pretty evenly matched, especially with Canon's better AF & included OLPF.

Newbie in sports photography. Budget is $2000 for gear. Interested in field and marathon shoots. Recommendations?
The Canon R6 II and Nikon Z6 III are good mid tier options. The Z6 III is newer with a faster partially stacked sensor. This reduces EVF blackout in continuous stills shooting & rolling shutter jello in video. The Canon R6 III is supposed to launch later this year depending on how quickly you're loo

Canon r6iii
Both systems are great. I prefer Canon for sports, but that's because there was a time when I would never buy anything above the mid-range bodies and I liked the Canon mid-range bodies better. Had I gone for an a9, I may well have stuck with Sony for sports. I've never liked the a7 bodies for sports

For a Blank State, is the Canon R6Miii or Sony A7V a better choice?
Both are great cameras. For sports, you'd have to consider if 40 FPS is more important than 14-bit + blackout free shooting. It also seems that the buffer on the R6iii is better. In a comment of his YouTube video, Gordon Laing replied saying that the delay on the R6iii's EVF is not significant in or
