Suggestion about possible alternatives to the Olympus E-M1 III

I have the em1ii with the 12-40f2.8 and the 40-150f2.8. I enjoy the system overall but recently decided to run a dual setup with canon r6iii paired with the 24-105 and 100-500. Honestly, I’m actually enjoying the canon a lot more. It isn’t as heavy as I’d feared and the IQ is incredible. I originall

FX3 or R6V

Imo the FX3 doesn’t generally would make sense in a vacuum but there is competition and Sony has allegedly registered the FX3ii which means it will probably be released soon. I think the biggest pros for the FX3 are lowlight, great autofocus, easy to edit files, full sensor 4k and also compatibility

Could've gotten a Canon R6iii with an insane lens but nope you got a slow and clunky 100mp camera with a no continuous af

Canon inbody focus stacking

No, R6iii can't focus bracket with flash. This is a big issue with the majority of Canon bodies. Only the ones with stacked sensors (just the R1, R3, and R5ii for now I believe?) are fast enough to sync with flash. You basically answered your own question about OM system bodies. They can focus brack

FX3 or R6V

I stay away from canon because of the locked down RF lens ecosystem. Sony gets all of the third party lenses and accessories first because they have the largest market share that allows third party lenses. Also canon typically doesn’t have great dynamic range. The R6iii tests done by CineD were lowe

What made you switch to OM for Macro?

I have the MPE 65 and the RF100mm. I found canon severely lacking for macro, oqning the R6iii, which cannot focus bracket with a flash. Studio shots sure, but in the field with active subjects? Forget it. Nail a single shot maybe. What are your thoughts on the 30mm? Its an extremely small working di

Help with R6 details not being sharp at f/14?

If this would be the case I shouldn’t have issues on 1/60s and 50mm I suppose. My GFX has less effective ibis in theory but it doesn’t have this problem. From what I’ve seen Canon fixed it in R6iii and R5ii

Double down on Canon while moving to interview filming from photography?

You have pretty great camera for docs really, and w24-70 is great too The main problem with canon is that it’s expensive not underperforming. Now if you wanted 2 more R6ii or r6iii and 3x24-70… it gets pricy. R5m1 is overheating but the rest is rather fine. I doubt 70-200 will be that useful but wit

Canon R6 III vs Nikon Z6 III

Go with the Z6III.R6III is the little bit better camera, it has better AF, more MPX, opengate video etc, but as you said, lenses are more expensive, and you cannot buy 3rd party lenses for RF mount. On the other hand, Z6III is great...AF is fast, 24mpx is more than enough, it has raw video, and you c

Considering switching Nikon to canon

I shoot with three Z9s. Used to have the Z6II also + tried the Z6III as well. Had a D750 until the D850 came out (think the D850 is the king of all non-integrated battery grip DSLRs). A few of my second shooters use R5s/R6 IIIs, A7 IVs and their AF isn't any better from what I see in RAWs. The Nikon
