S1Mii body drop to $2356 during the june Promotional Campaign-but still to expensive compare to its competitors
Genuinely confused as to how you could get this so wrong. The S1II and the A7V are the same price currently in the US ($2899), The R6 III is $100 cheaper, Nikon Z8 starts at $3100 used on MPB, and the A1 starts at $3400 used. At $2356, the S1ii a DEAL. Let's break this down: - Photography: all the b

I want a new full-frame
Do you need it now? The Z5ii is cheaper and satisfies all your requirements, but since it's new it hasn't been discounted yet. If Canon or Sony introduces an R6III or A7V, the previous models will get discounted too. I wouldn't consider the S5IIX since video is not your focus. Realistically the Z6ii

Upgrade of my gear comming soon, and I need your point of view!
Canon and Sony produce pretty similar results so I think it really comes down to which one you prefer. I’ve worked with both at different agencies and I prefer canon myself. Not because it’s better, I just prefer the menu systems and how the cameras feel in my hands. Here’s what I absolutely wouldn’

FX3 or R6V
I stay away from canon because of the locked down RF lens ecosystem. Sony gets all of the third party lenses and accessories first because they have the largest market share that allows third party lenses. Also canon typically doesn’t have great dynamic range. The R6iii tests done by CineD were lowe

First Wedding in a Few Months - Q&A NEEDED!
I recommend having a checklist of essential photos along with the schedule so you aren't trying to figure out what you need on the fly. Learning some poses and getting inspiration for what the couple likes helps a lot. Scout the venue and immediate area ahead of time, either in-person or google maps

Double down on Canon while moving to interview filming from photography?
You have pretty great camera for docs really, and w24-70 is great too The main problem with canon is that it’s expensive not underperforming. Now if you wanted 2 more R6ii or r6iii and 3x24-70… it gets pricy. R5m1 is overheating but the rest is rather fine. I doubt 70-200 will be that useful but wit

Canon R6 III vs Nikon Z6 III
Go with the Z6III.R6III is the little bit better camera, it has better AF, more MPX, opengate video etc, but as you said, lenses are more expensive, and you cannot buy 3rd party lenses for RF mount. On the other hand, Z6III is great...AF is fast, 24mpx is more than enough, it has raw video, and you c

It's a good time to be in the Lumix ecosystem.
The only thing the sony has going for it is the reliability. You know it wont overheat, everything works well and its not complicated to use. It reminds me of an apple release where they don’t give you the best new features but you know you’re getting a reliable and quality item. Plus the hype is al

A7V released - 33MP partially stacked, 7.5 stop IBIS, new processor, $2900 USD - available for preorder
Like everyone else I've been waiting for this camera. From a photography side it's amazing, but from a video side it's disappointing. Most of the competition is giving higher resolution 12bit video while sony limits it to 4k 10bit. So many people repeat the same no one uses 6k 12bit and even if they

Canon r6iii
the best sports bargain in all brands is a used a9, i'd suggest finding one... set your a9 up for back-button af. one of the big problems with the a7iii is no sony real-time tracking subject selection, and of course slow sensor readout speed, so electronic shutter isn't much of an option: https://ww
