What’s the single best monitor panel type for the next 4-5 years.
Weirdly, I have the opposite experience. I have an M27Q (IPS) and a G34 WQC-A (VA). My IPS monitor pops - the colours look fantastic, the contrast is great - I love it. My VA monitor looks "washed out" on standard settings. I need to bump the contrast to 100% to get it looking anything like the IPS ...
Confusion all round - Tandem WOLED or Gen 3 QD-OLED
Gigabytes matte coating is leaps ahead of previous mattes. Im coming from m27q and improvement is noticable. Its super crisp given its matte, no idea what they did but its great
I really reget getting my monitor
many Reddit users report that the Gigabyte M27UA, and similar Gigabyte monitors like the M27Q, have a poor HDR experience due to their standard HDR400 implementation with insufficient brightness and lack of local dimming, leading to washed-out or overly dark images instead of the intended HDR effect...
Gigabyte mo27q28g owners
I noticed it’s less matte then my other monitor (Gigabyte M27Q), and I think that makes a big difference between this coating and regular matte coatings. The colors are vivid and not dulled, there is no visible grain (at least to my eyes) and the blacks are black, even in a bright room. All in all I...
The Ultimate Value 1440p OLED - Gigabyte MO27Q28G Review
Got used to m27q matte coating, value is great so no thinking twice on this one
A reality check for those concerned with the dreaded matte OLED panels.
I second this. Had m27q IPS before that very monitor and that matte woled looks insanely crisp imo. And mind you, I am very picky person with attention to details.
Is paying a significant premium for 4th gen W-OLED worth it over QD-OLED from 2024?
I had the same question myself, but ended up picking up an MO27q2 for $400 on that Newegg sale because it was too good to pass up. Honestly I’m super happy with that choice. Coming from an M27Q, the difference was night and day. I can’t see a WOLED, being vastly better for what will at minimum be an...
What gaming monitor to buy at any budget (1080p, 1440p, 4K) - THE GUIDE
Good catch! For gaming though ASUS TUF or GIGABYTE M27Q are still better bets at that price. That dell sounds solid for productivity but 120Hz at 4k on a budget panel won't feel as smooth for actual gaming as the 1444p 165Hz options. Just depends what you need it for really.
First PC build complete! What do you guys think?
I have a 1440p IPS right now, the Gigabyte M27Q-P that I got on sale years ago (I know I know, plan to get a 4K OLED later this year) but have mostly been playing TLOU P1 on my 4K Sony TV with dimming zones.
Quest for “THE 1440p IPS”?
I have the M27QA and yes, it has bad vignetting. Keeping it cause I love the KVM though. You could try finding a M27Q X, I don’t think it has the same issue.
