G-SYNC Compatible vs Native

Coming from an old native G-sync monitor (ROG swift PG27V), bought right before they open-sourced it in late 2018, I also had this concerned when I bought the MSI 341CQPX which is only G-sync compatible. But for the past year I've been using it, there's no issue when it comes to tearing & smoothness

Best Non-OLED Monitors? Ultrawide or 4k?

UW or 4k depends on your setup and what it can handle and the games you play, and how much you value the overall longevity of your system vs resolution quality. There's a big gap in how taxing 1440p vs UW 1440P vs 4k is on your system. Burn-in is usually a non-issue for most people if they put any am

Looking for advice on choosing a gaming PC for my husband as a birthday gift

For about $200, MicroCenter will assemble your pc for you, but I recommend you buy the parts now and then assemble the pc with your husband as a couples project for his birthday. I think you’ll both have fun and it will make you both much more comfortable working on the pc later on. I chose this Mic

Monitors 7900xtx 9070xt

I got two screens, MSI MPG 341CQPX, 34" ultrawide QD-OLED 240Hz monitor, and LG C1 48" WOLED 120Hz TV. Visual wise, preferred my monitor for SDR as the colours pop like IPS along with deepest black (minus purple tint). My TV suffered in SDR due to using Game Optimiser mode, along with white subpixel

Night flights just hit different on an OLED monitor

Okay so I just bought an msi mpg 341cqpx qd-oled but I cannot for the life of me get nights to look dark at all in 2024. This is all I end up with while running HDR in windows and the sim. Any advice on how to fix this? Otherwise loving the monitor so far, cockpit and city lights seem much more vibr

what ultrawide monitor do you use?

34” MSI MPG 341CQPX QD-OLED (240 Hz), running on a 7900 XT. In fairness I don't really race on it since I use VR, but I'll chime in anyway since I like it as a general gaming monitor. Granted, you can save some money if you don't care for the OLED blacks

Please can someone recommend me a non oled monitor

Dunno what you’re talking about. Just picked up a MSI MPG 341CQPX QD-OLED almost a month ago now. It’s perfect. 10+ hours a day on it. During work hours it’s plugged into an m1 Mac via usbc to DisplayPort. I run it scaled at 75% with high dpi mode. HDR on with expanded brightness options using bette
