Friend recommended an M43 as a solid first camera for me. And while it’s only been a week, I would do unspeakable things if anything ever happened to it [OLYMPUS OM-D E-M10 Mark IV + 12-40mm F2.8 Pro]

E-M10iv vs GX85 - why does the GX85 get all the love?
It's kind of a myth. I just upgraded from the E-M10ii to the Mark iv, and the only feature missing is MySets, which I never used. They also took away the ability to customize a couple of the buttons, but they added more functionality to the d-pad. The d-pad now behaves very similarly to the one on t

Lumix G9 or G9 ii after fucked up my old camera
idk how to judge someone else's tastes. I own the gh6, gh7, g9ii, and a few smaller cams inbetween those. full frame s5, s1r, s9. olympus just using the e-m13 and e-m10iv my least favorite i've owned is the g9. i'm not saying it's bad. what i am saying is after owning the g9ii and getting it as a ba

Affordable Kit
I just made the move to get a used em10 IV and 17mm 1.8. I think the combo ran me around $875. The 17mm has a focus clutch which should be great for street photography. There are a lot of great m43 lenses so I’m sure there’s something out there to fit your needs as you grow with the camera. Having s

How much worse is the OM5 menu system compared to the EM10iv and the OM1?
Don't have it but my understanding is the main complaint is the OM-1 got a new updated menu system. Then later when the OM-5 came out, it retained the old "Olympus" menu system, essentially giving you a warmed over E-M5.3 with a new name. So if you are OK with the menu on the EM10iv then you will be

Why isn't this in every OM/Olympus camera? You don't need a physical dial for it.
My more advanced E-M1ii back then didn’t have it when the older PEN-F did. Here I am with the OM-1 and same problem. The OM-3 is a repackaged OM-1ii…. And as usual removed. The E-P7 is based on the E-M10IV. Olympus and OM Systems hates its users lol.

OM-D E-M10 Mark IV in Florida weather
Agree with these Lumix suggestions, both good cameras with superb features, grip, and weather sealing (and better usability for beginners IMO). If I were set on going Olympus/OMDS instead of Panasonic, I'd buy a used EM5iii ten times out of ten rather than an EM10IV. Far better camera and not much m

Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV with kit lens for $400. Yes or no?
I’m coming from the Sony A-Mount ecosystem. I like my 77V but it’s cumbersome and I’m not feeling “inspired” when I go out. And it’s heavy.
So I found this deal and figure it’s head and shoulders so it might be worthwhile. I was thinking about saving up for a OM-5 but instant gratification has oth

Deciding on 1st Camera | Why M43?
Hey guys, I am pretty novice and use my smartphone for pictures. Nothing wrong with that of course, but I am looking to get something for my GF and I for future travels and just pictures in general (Portraits, family photos, food, etc).
I am the type to read a lot into stuff before deciding so I c
