Is a 60 L bag too big for an overnight?
I have a Osprey Atmos 65L I use for winter backpacking. I've used it on shorter warm weather trips where I go full-hog on comfort and bring a lot of stuff. It might be overkill for a simple overnight but I don't think you'd be miserable.

How much will I regret forcing an Osprey Transporter 65 into being a ruck bag?
It’s fine for a 1-mile walk into a campsite, but for a 20-mile round trip, it’ll be brutal. Since you're clearly good at hunting deals, I’d keep looking for an actual Osprey Atmos or Exos.

What bag to upgrade to?
When you say the Nepal backpack are you talking about the one sold by the Go outdoor group? I had the old old version of that when it was badged as HiGear. It was pretty good as a large day pack but the very first time I loaded it up for wild camping it nearly cut my arms off my body 😂 I did about 1

Light backpack options?
I have been using an Osprey Atmos 65 but it weighs nearly 5 lb. I just bought another Osprey, a 58 L one, that is their effort toward being much lighter. I think it weighs around 2-2.5 lb. It seems to have decent waist belt and shoulder strap padding even though it's in the 2 lb range at that size.

Peru Backpacking Trip
I like 65liters but I carry a camera kit (full frame dslr). 55 is good for most things. For international, I’d rather have empty space in a 65 that I can fill when needed. As for bulky sweaters, I prefer a layer system like smartwool, arcteryx atom hoody, mountain Hardwear ghost whisperer down, and

Gregory Zulu 65 vs Osprey Atmos
I have been trying both of those, and an osprey exos 58, for the past week or two, and will be returning the ones I decide against to REI shortly. I find both ospreys to be significantly, significantly better than the Zulu in every way. Comfort, fit, adjustability, materials. Etc. It's not even clos

Backpack
That’s on the small side for the Frances. But I’m sure there are plenty of people who have done it with that size pack. And, in the summertime you can get away with carrying very little on your Camino. I walked my Francis with a 50 L Osprey Atmos backpack. It was too big. I walked my Portuguese with

Best backpack for both international travel and camping
I had that far point but it’s so uncomfortable (for me) that I never use it. On a very long international trip I used Osprey Atmos 65 and then a smaller daypack which worked well.

How much should it cost to build an entry level backpacking set up?
Thank you! So, yesterday I went to manhattan beach Re/Supply REI and bought some really cool stuff like a tent from 340$ to 150$ (because of a 1cm hole) and a sleeping quilt from 299$ to 120$ (overstock) Also got an Osprey Atmos AG 65 from 370$ to 300$ (still a lot of money but I loved it, by far th
