Core One+ vs XL. (Migrating from Bambu)

I have both a Core One L and a Prusa XL. There are known issues with the dwarf board on the XL tool heads having problems with fatigue due to connector flex. I just had my second one fail after doing the upgrade that was supposed to keep it from happening again. I really like my XL and am glad I hav

Looking for ‘just work’ 3d printers

Prusa has free shipping on right now and that means the Core One+ kit will fit your budget, barely. Bambus are good suggestions too but just consider that you can save 250-300 on shipping with Prusa right now, get a Core One kit and then eventually you will have the option to add on the INDX and hav

Ratrig V4 or Prusa Core one+ ?

the core one L gets you more build volume for the prusa option, and you can get the MMU for multi-color, or if it was me I would wait till and just get the Core One L - then upgrade to INDX once its available for the Core One L

Would you tell a noob to get a core one L or a core one+?

Booth are great printers and can soon be upgraded with the INDX system. If on a budget get the core one+ if not on a budget get the core one L. This, because bigger is some times better and with the size of the L you will not see many prints that need a bigger printer. Upgrading from your ender shou

Anything exciting coming for the XL?

Imho, Prusa is not gonna spend any further development for the XL :( maybe this useless silicon head because of corporation with the other vendor but there will not be any upgrade for the XL. I think Prusa will focus now on “out of the box core one plus”. On the Prusa-day Josef himself told us, XL w

Printer Upgrade Recommendations

If at all possible, I vote against Bambu: https://www.reddit.com/r/3dprinter/s/rIvTm3y1rY Edit: nice catch, better not post when too tired. Fixed link. How many materials do you need at once? If more than 2, dual-nozzle is not the best solution, and you'd need a toolchanger. The only reasonable tool

Recommendation for 3D printer from EU?

PLA is cheap, easy to print and otherwise not terrible. Supposedly it is biodegradable, but not in practice. A lot of places still recycle it, if you want to get rid of your waste. It has a few disadvantages, like compared to other filaments warping easier, breaking easier and being less resistant t

Is there any downside to getting the Core L over the Core+, apart from price? Is Core+ more modern? Will there come a Core+ L? INDX will appear later, should I wait for that and buy the complete package?

Core One+ got the "plus" just by gaining things from Core One L, so L is superior to regular Core One and on the same level as Core One + (and I think the bed heating is much better on L). In general, it is just bigger. If you have chance, go check to local store or 3D printing festival or so. Core

Question: Is the Core One+ L worth the extra $1000 over the Core One+ ?

Imho no. It's a really expensive machine. Now if you have the money or if your requisition department has a lot of free budget for some reason, then it's a great machine to print mid sized models on. But if you're just a normal person or a small business, I don't see much reason to go for the Core O

Question: Is the Core One+ L worth the extra $1000 over the Core One+ ?

Look, I get it, I don't like Bambu at all. That's why neither me or the company that I work for have any. But the Core One L is just not that impressive. Definitely not for the price. If it was somewhat closer to the larger QidiTech, Creality or Anycubic printers then maaaaybe, but it's just 300 cub
