$600? Excuse me?

if it’s a 4K front camera, includes a rear camera, and installation, I’d say that might be a good deal, for Lexus, especially. I sell and install dash cams for a living, I prefer the thinkware U 3000, and U3000 pro. $550 and $580, respectively. Not including installation. SUV is about three hours at

A dashcam

How good is the fitcamX? I like the appearance and simplicity. It taps into the mirror power? Will Hyundai grumble about that with warranty issues? I was considering a higher end Thinkware u3000 as the radar parking mode seems really good. Not as tidy from an install point of view though.

A dashcam

I've had some major issues with my VW including electrical issues, every time it's gone with a Fitcamx installed and never once they've mentioned anything. Honestly it depends what you want, the FitcamX is a mid quality dashcam for a top quality price. However for the tidiness and ease of install I'

Experience today majorly knocking my confidence.

They range in price for a decent one between £100 and £800. Like if you want 4K, latest image sensor so it can 100% pickup a numberplate ahead and behind in all lighting conditions it's on the upper end of the price scale, around £400-£600 gets you a great 4K front, 1080p rear with full mobile insta

Dash cam tips?

I do this for a living. Strongly recommend the thinkware product, specifically the U3000 with the OBD II adapter. Routing of the cables requires you to be cognizant of the airbags, specifically the side curtain airbags, along the edges of the headliner and in the a pillar on either side of the winds

Dashcam front (windshield) cable / wire route to rear dashcam - ROVE

I had a dashcam only shop install my THINKWARE U3000 PRO, and he avoided the airbags, but remember he ran the cable inside the lower door jam where the wires go for the sill lights rather than overhead. He spent over 3 hours installing correctly, well worth paying the Pros rather than breaking a cli

THINKWARE U3000 Pro ODB power connector so no fuse box taps that will cause problem with other systems error codes due to voltage drops and for parking mode.

Parked Mode Security Cam Recommendations

I have a Thinkware U3000 (front & rear) installed in mine and really like it. Only issue I had was when installing, I wanted to use the fuse taps in the trunk so had to extend the power cable by about 2 feet.

Should I go with these dealership extras?? Just bought a new Corolla i think it’s way too expensive but unsure

Lol, no. Every one of those is way overpriced. For each of them, if they are even necessary, you can get a better option for hundreds less. I've never heard of a dashcam front+rear set near 2300 so thats a bullshit anchor price to make you feel like 1500 is a steal. In reality a top of the line thin

Will OEM Battery Support Dash Cam with Parking Mode?

I installed a Thinkware U3000 in my 2025 odyssey about 6 weeks ago and haven’t had any issues with parking mode. I used an OBD2 power adapter. I do have several things working in my favor though: The van is a daily driver, it’s garaged and I live in the south where the garage never gets below freezi
