Experience today majorly knocking my confidence.
They range in price for a decent one between £100 and £800. Like if you want 4K, latest image sensor so it can 100% pickup a numberplate ahead and behind in all lighting conditions it's on the upper end of the price scale, around £400-£600 gets you a great 4K front, 1080p rear with full mobile insta

Please help educate me…
- ability to review her data from my phone would be a huge plus. A cloud dash cam is the best way to accomplish this. Connect the camera to the hotspot on the driver's phone, and you can access clips over the Internet. Thinkware Q200 is an economical example. U3000 is a higher end model with better

Why has no one made a good Dashcam? Ever?
Just get the Blackvue ELITE 10-2CH with their battery and LTE module for the most complete feature set, you just need to pay the low low price of 1100+ USD /j But tbh even that lacks the IR night vision found in some vantrue cams and the radar parking mode found in the thinkware u3000. As much as I'

Choosing a Dash Cam 101: A Helpful Guide
Both the Thinkware U3000 and BlackVue DR970X-2CH PLUS II are excellent choices, but they cater to slightly different needs. The Thinkware U3000 features 4K UHD recording with advanced Sony STARVIS 2 technology, which enhances low-light performance and clarity. It also includes built-in radar sensors

Suggestion for no screen, good night time records and 2 channels DashCam?
F200 is long discontinued. Thinkware q200 is the starting point for decent night vision, but it's not as good as the U3000 which is out of your budget range 770x plus is the minimum viable Blackvue, and the 970x plus has much better night vision.

Drone vs Blackvue vs Rexing (or other lower-priced ones): Planned on fancy cams for a loaded Porsche Macan EV, but Rexing 4k/4k gets btr reviews for $279 on sale! Anything I'll miss with less expensive brand? BTW: $99 INSTALL AT Best Buy vs $500 anywhere else I found.
Everyone’s needs are different. Also, keep in mind that most reviews are done after purchase, not after long term use. That’s why I tend to discount the overall ratings, and trust this community more. Here are my thoughts on brands: Rexing: I owned two in the past, I wasn’t happy with their quality.

Can you though...?
I personally run Thinkware U3000 in my car and was surprised at how badly it performed in the night test. Grabbing recordings is a breeze as the dashcam is always ready to pair with your phone if you've set it up through the app.

What next base or think ware dash cam should I get?
Thinkware q200 is as low as I'd go with Thinkware. I'd look at the comparison chart and see if anything on the path to the u3000 pro is worth it for you. Night vision (poor weather) performance gets better. You have radar options.

Looking for a reliable dash cam - too many options
Main things I care about: – good night footage – reliability – GPS would be a nice bonus Thinkware Q200 is the entry point for decent night vision, and it is available with an ODB2 power connector to make installation very simple. GPS is optional. Thinkware U3000 or BlackVue Elite 10 have higher res
