Google nest mesh or something else?

Brother in law upgraded his old nest to the new, both were flaky and dropping connected units. I gave him my deco X55 ax 3000 three piece set and he hasn't had any trouble, nor did I. I upgraded to unifi system for extra control/features.

Terrible Customer Service

I have 2 Deco X55 units. The December update added the QoS option, which was activated by default. It caused a lot of connectivity problems. I disabled QoS by going to Settings -> More. I still see the main unit's red light go on for a few seconds sometimes, but there is no loss of connectivity.

Shaw Airpods versus TPLink Deco

I recently switched to Rogers/Shaw 1G from Telus due to cost. I was getting good speeds 800+ near the Rogers router, but the pods were unreliable. They seemed to drop out constantly and I would have trouble reconnecting my iPhone. I would wake up every day with no connection and have to go stand bes

need help

For the best connection you need to connect from router to your devices by ethernet, if you go from Main Access Point to upstairs via WiFi and then from there to xbox via ethernet, then you will probably still have a bottleneck with slow speeds at the WiFi connection. What is your current WiFi device

Router extensions and upgrade.

The VM extenders aren’t great and there isn’t much info available on the actual spec of them. My advice would be to put the hub (assuming it’s not the 5x) in modem mode and invest in some proper mesh WiFi system. I use the deco x55 and it works wonders and can act as your router if connect to the hu

Does your mesh system perform well?

We have 2 deco x55, an x50, and an x10 with wired backhaul and everything works seamlessly. Great coverage all around the house.

Decos are offline

I believe a couple of reasons could be causing the 'offlineness'😀...ill give my lame man's perspective....and wait for an expert to correct me... Do you have a wireless or wired backhaul? If wired and you had set them up with wifi before, a damaged cable will switch them back to wifi and if there ar

Home network brand selection

I’ve got a Deco X55 as main unit, a X50 outdoor PoE for my car en charger and a X50 PoE to cover my entire house. 160m2 old brick house with basement. Your M5 units are WiFi5 and you will see a significant improvement in coverage when upgrading to WiFi6. For now I would not spend the extra money on

Need advice: best way to improve Wi-Fi in a 3-story concrete house

For a quick, easy and uncomplicated setup TP-Link mesh systems are a good option. You didn't specify your internet speed, so I'll assume 1gbps max. If it's faster than that you'll want to get a mesh system that can match it. For example if you have 2gbps service you'll want a mesh system with 2.5gbp

Deco x55 speed issues

I've had nothing but problems when I added an X55 to my Deco mesh and no problems after removing it. Search this sub for X55 and see how many issues people post. Ditch the X55 and get a different model.
