Kickstarter campaign “dynamic pricing”
Very good chance I just try and get my $30 refunded. I have 2 DXP4800 Plus units now, so this, while a nice upgrade, isn't really a necessity for me. And if they are moving the goalpost and no longer have guarenteed pricing for the pre-order, I think it's time to wash my hand of the situation.

Electricity usage
I'm also in MN and just got the DXP4800 Plus a couple months ago and also have a higher bill than last year. I took a deep dive into this as I'm stingy with certain things. My YoY % increase wasn't as drastic as yours though it was certainly up (around 35%). I went from 320 kWh last March to 433 kWh
