Starting setup

I just ordered the new announced DH2300 from Ugreen. It’s a bit cheaper and maybe perfect to start with. I’v had a Synology in the past, and worked perfect. Maybe you could look at a different setup for your disks. A 2 bay wil offer you raid 0 and raid 1. 2x 16TB is also much more expensive when one

Raspberry pi 5 M.2 board for a home NAS

For $200 you could get a real NAS. I get it if you want to do it as a project or to learn how to set up your own NAS with extra capabilities. But I figured I'd point out that... The Ugreen NASync DH2300 is around $210, $188 if you buy it on their store. GMKtec's 4 slot NVME NAS is around $230 Beelin

Please help- just searching for a plain jane NAS with 4 TB

Easiest thing would be a UGreen NAS. The DH2300 is $190 and you'll need a couple of HDDs. You can get a pair of refurbished 12TB drives off eBay for like $150-200 each. A NAS seldom comes with drives and the specs you're seeing are probably the onboard storage for the NAS OS and/or RAM. UGreen comes

Dove acquistate Raspberry pi spendendo meno?

I have purchased the UGREEN NASync DH2300

The offer was irresistible for €168 with a 10% discount coupon because I didn't think about it. Although it will be sent from November 17, I don't know why but I will wait. The fact is that now I have to watch records, I have time. I have thought about putting two 12 TB drives to mount them in RAID

Pictures like this are currently backed up on OneDrive, but as I work to reduce my reliance on Big Tech, the UGREEN DH2300 NAS feels like a lifesaver for securely storing all my

UGREEN NASync DH2300

The DH2300 is not indicated for Docker. It's really low on specs, if possible, buy a DXP2800. The Docker app is not avaliable anymore in Ugreen OS, they removed from DH2300. There's a workaround now, but who knows until when will be possible.

DS223J vs DS223- For personal Use

These are both pretty dog slow 2 bay NASs with realtec processors. You have the ultra dog slow budget RTD1619B quad-core 1.7GHz and its more for IOT things that do very little processing. If you want to run any containers or do anything with the NAS, steer clear of these chips. For ~$300 you can get

DXP2800 do-it-all, or DH2300 for storage + N100 mini PC for services?

The DXP2800 has an N100, and its a little cheaper than the NH2300 plus an N100. The DH2300 is a much slower linux appliance ARM SoC with 4 × Cortex-A72 + 4 × Cortex-A53, this is just fine for storage but its not going to be enough power to push anything high speed over the network. However, I think

black friday Deals on NAS?

It's annoying because I've got a DS225+ upgraded with 18gb of ram which works perfectly fine and does the job for Jellyfin and storing my music and photo backups but uGreen have a ridiculous Black Friday deal on the DH2300 and I really like the design of it - even the (slightly gimmicky) NFC bit. An
