UGREEN NAS Dh2300

You bought the wrong NAS, DXP2800 is the model to go for 3rd party apps. The DH2300 has 4GBs of ram soldered and a Rockchip RK3576 which likely won't have support for it's media and AI accelerators natively in all those apps. So they'll run like crap. You'll be limited to Ugreen's basic apps and may

Nerd Spawn Help

Depending on his interests, I might recommend against a DH-2300 not because a NAS is a bad idea, but because the DH-2300 is very locked down and cannot be easily tinkered with. He will likely be interested in using it for storing movies/TV, or hosting services like video game servers. However, the D

Would a subnet router be a potential fix for tailnet access to NAS that can't install Tailscale/Docker?

Thanks, I did see that mentioned in a few of my searches. It not being officially supported doesn't bother me as much as the lack of any user experience "documentation" of actually running this does. I'd rather not be the guinea pig considering 1. I'm new to all of this and 2. my DH2300 is also new

How would you rate your experience with your UGREEN NAS so far?

I’m… 50/50. I am happy with my dh2300 but I’m not happy that it feels generic. I’m seeing videos on installing apps and all I get are the basic apps. That’s on me though. Think I got the wrong one. Does the dh2300 do what it says? Yes absolutely however I should’ve went with a different model. With

First time NAS

Congratulations. I emailed ugreen after looking at dxp2800 and they replied that plex emby and jellyfin are supported but they didn't clearly said if Toshiba MG10 series drive is supported by it or not. On their compatibility list Toshiba enterprise drives are not listed. Cheaper dh2300 they said do

Immich uses all ram and completely freezes my nas

Docker is fine with the DH2300 it just depends what you're running in Docker. I run a couple of lighter services and have no issue. Running Immich on the DH2300 with 4GBs of soldered ram and RK3576 was the problem. People buy the cheapest Ugreen NAS product and then are shocked to see it can't run s

Rclone on NASync DH2300

Currently, there is no native rclone solution available on UGREEN NAS devices. However, you can deploy rclone using a Docker container by following the guidance provided in the forum or on YouTube (Provided by 3rd party). Please note that the DH2300 does not officially support Docker due to limited

UGREEN NASync DH2300

The DH2300 is not indicated for Docker. It's really low on specs, if possible, buy a DXP2800. The Docker app is not avaliable anymore in Ugreen OS, they removed from DH2300. There's a workaround now, but who knows until when will be possible.

First build

Question: is the NAS going to be running your Jellyfin server entirely? As in installing Jellyfin onto it and storing your media there, streaming using the NAS’s native hardware? If the answer is yes, then no. A dh2300 will not be able to transcode anywhere near the amount of an Intel cpu or having

Thinking of getting a DH2300, will use it to store movies to watch on Apple TV. Will use it maybe 2 or 3 times a week. My question, is there any issue with only turning it on when I need it?

The support is rudimentary, you have to sort albums manually. Advanced features are missing. The AI recognition mostly works leveraging the local hardware accelerators. The trouble is that one will probably never see the DH 2300 ARM Rockchip NPU/GPU supported in Immich. So you're stuck with their in
