Get a fast and huge ssd as fast as you can, at least a 4TB. The samsung 990 pro is the fastest, and there are some who go straight away to the WD_BLACK SN850P 8TB. And marry her again ;)

Wd black Sn850p got it with no heatsink and bought my own to replace it. Works like a charm . Buy medium heatsink if you ever will pull a trigger on this one . I bought standard height and had to spend some time to fit it in but I don't feel any heat from the back of the device so that's a good sign

That is way too expensive. i thought the same thing at first. just a heads up, you can't play ps5 games directly from a usb drive, only store them there. you'd have to move them back to the internal drive to play. if you're looking for more space to actually play games, you'll need an internal ssd. the WD Black SN850P is a gr

I'd recommend a 2tb for 300ish if you can stretch the dollar. Crucial p310, WD blue SN5100, WD black SN850P are all $300 at the moment. Looks like there may be a trend in decreasing prices so there is the risk of waiting a bit longer for cheaper prices as well.
