New Near-field Setup
I love the Ghorns. I run a pair of them as monoblocks as the amps in my one listening setup (smaller room), feeding my Wharfedale Denton 85th anniversary speakers and I absolutely love that setup. I also have one Ghorn F powering my desktop speakers, a pair of KEF Q150s. Way more power than I think

Speaker Upgrade from Wharfedale Denton 80th
Hi there! I also like the Denton 80th, even if they don't have the most neutral sound and some other shortcomings. One of those is that they have some noticeable directivity errors from about 600Hz upwards (mids, upper mids) all the way into the highest treble regions (20kHz). See frequency response

WiiM ultra + Fosi audio V3 ou WiiM Amp ultra?
I have both wiim ultra amp and wiim ultra and v3 mono blocks. I would say the difference is really dependant on the speakers you are using. Do amps really sound that different from one another?
I currently use the Wharfedale Denton 80 speakers and have used 2 amps with them, the Cambridge axa35 and the cxa61. There was a clear and noticeable difference between the two. The best way I can describe that difference is the axa35 was much warmer where the sound seemed like there was something c

Are “audiophile” level speakers less durable? (For a bar)
I know Wharfedale has (had?) a commercial line, a local movie theater has them. They sound very good. I don’t have any info, but the Dentons may be based on one of their commercial speakers, or drivers, set up for a home environment. You might look at their commercial line too, might be a bit more r

Advise on speakers
Personally and speaking only for myself, I don't care for either of those speakers. They both do something very well, but they both surrender either performance or value to a competitor that does the same thing better, in my opinion. The Klipsch are (comme d'habitude) quite sparkly on top and with s

Speaker suggestions for low-wattage receiver
The Wharfedale Denton 80's sensitivity is 86dB. It takes twice as much power (watts) to increase the output by 3dB. So the the Wharfedale takes 2 watts to output 89, 4w for 92, and 8 watts to output 95dB. Compare that to the sensitivity ratings of the Klipschs. Yes, it makes a big difference.
