Retro Looking Commercial Speakers
Separate 70V transformers driving HiFi cabinets may be your best bet here. If you want the old school look Wharfedale Super Denton or JBL L52 would both be really cool retro-looking cabinets to mount 70V transformers behind. EVID 4.2 or 6.2 are still really popular too for a cool looking speaker tha

Advice speakers and amplifiers
The bottom line is I would put the money into the better speaker first, and in your case that sounds like the EVO 5.2, then pair it with the NAD C389 unless the aesthetics and ergonomics of the EXA100 matter more to you. The Super Denton is attractive and enjoyable, but I do think some of what you’r

Whole system recommendation
We really don't know enough but I'll put a system together at the end anyway so you don't feel scolded. Things we don't know:Budget, budget, budget, volume levels, budget, furnishings, budget, attitude toward the pursuit (one-and-done, or the beginning of a journey?), disposition while music is play

Speaker help — paralysis by analysis
Excuse me while I add to your paralysis by suggesting a speaker not currently on your list: The Wharfedale Super Denton. Based on your system, your preferences, and your budget, it's the speaker that I would have recommended if you hadn't given us a slate. IMHO they're exactly what you're looking fo

Searching Speaker Recommendation: "Kissaten" Style Setup for Vinyl + TV ?
Consider also the other, smaller Wharfedales in the Heritage series, like the Dentons 80th and 85th Anniversary. I had the 80th for my multi-purpose TV + music setup and quite liked them.

Why Subwoofer
My bookshelf speakers, wharfedale Denton 80, only reach down to 44hz. I have 2 SVS SB-1000’s I got recently for a really good deal and they just add soooooo much to the low end that my speakers alone just simply couldn’t reach. When actually dialed in and blended with your speakers, subs will only a

Ever plug your speakers’ ports?
I plugged my Wharfedale Dentons when I had them close to a wall and supplemented by a subwoofer. It worked well.

r/audiophile Shopping, Setup, and Technical Help Desk Thread
Hi, Where I am, it is not possible to audition most speakers leaving buying online the only real option. I've been researching speaker options for the last few months both on Reddit and via reviews, and the Wharfedale Linton seems to be top option for me. My music choices are hip hop, 80s pop, class

Advise on speakers
Personally and speaking only for myself, I don't care for either of those speakers. They both do something very well, but they both surrender either performance or value to a competitor that does the same thing better, in my opinion. The Klipsch are (comme d'habitude) quite sparkly on top and with s

i heard that wharfedale’s and mcintosh don’t pair well though, i might be wrong. also the space constraints are affecting my decisions. I think only the super denton’s would fit
