Noticeable VRR flicker with G-sync Pulsar
This kind of shit (particularly with OLED) is why I am so wary about giving up my AW3423DW. It's the only OLED monitor with a hardware Gsync module, and thus the only one that seems to have reasonable VRR flicker performance. We're almost 4 years on from the launch of this monitor, and have been hea

Game Ready & Studio Driver 595.59 FAQ/Discussion
For one...even on a normal OLED, VRR is still very useful most of the time. Takes somewhat wild framerate swings to induce notable flicker, or quite a low framerate (at least on a lot of models, some are pretty bad though, I'll admit). For two...OLEDs with hardware Gsync modules that bring them to t

The Akita is a money printing machine in Cursed Mode
DAMN. I bet gaming on it looks amazing. I run an Alienware AW3423DW and I love it. Ultrawide and Super Ultrawide (when supported) are the best for gaming.

OLED monitor recommendation
Damn that's a solid build, the 9800x3d is gonna crush souls games For OLED I'd say look at the LG C2/C3 42" if you want the best bang for buck - can usually find them on sale and they're perfect for single player games. If you want something more monitor-sized the Alienware AW3423DW is still great b

Can some explain the different kinds of frame sync?
You're incorrect about no sync and the different VRR methods. Other people have already covered no sync, so I'll focus on VRR. You're correct that gsync, FreeSync, and adaptive sync are all implementations of VRR. In fact, when you're generalising this hard they don't even deserve their own category

AW3423DWF owner on my 3rd unit due to recurring coating issues - Dell offering refurbished same model each time - is this really the best they can do - any advice how to deal with this?
I’m sure your receipt date will be what matters, push come to shove. I’d just push on the fact that the many refurbs they’ve sent you all seem to have the same issue and request a newer model as a replacement to escape the issue altogether. I had an AW3423DW since its first release, and not long bef

OLED Monitors
I have the AW3423DW (2022) and have burn in especially for lost ark. It could come to all oleds. It’s a question of time and usage. I mainly use it for lost ark and skill bar and midscreen bright notification symbol which always Pops up After some time. (Stronghold Song is notorius) I Hope the best

Asus rog xg mobile 2025 available on excaliburpc.com in US
Works great with my Legion Go but is stupid expensive. :) I haven't really benched it but CP2077 played buttery smooth on it on my Dell AW3423DW monitor at maxed settings 1440p.

Avoid Alienware monitors!
Respectfully this has not been my experience wherein 2 of my 3 daily use monitors are Alienware (AW2721D and AW3423DW) with my main gaming monitor is the widescreen model therein. I absolutely did have issues with an Alienware gaming laptop that I regretted not returning four or so years ago, so I a

Another 4090 User: "Cyberpunk in VR is Life Changing" - CONFIG GUIDE 2025
I'm surprised to read that too. Transformer is working fine on 2.21 pancake, why would VR make any difference? And personally playing this game without RT doesn't seem worth it depending on your setup. I have an OLED ultrawide monitor (the Alienware 3423DW) and the game looks incredible with path tr
