Need to install ethernet ASAP, but I need a little guidance

Pictures included to help show where the run (I think) should go

Just moved into a new house and need to hardwire my office ASAP, since my current eero Pro 6E mesh setup (on Fidium Fiber) has too much ping for work Zoom calls. I'm a long-time lurker and know the very basics of home networking, but

My portal drives me insane

I have had it for about a year and have tried everything under the sun to get it to work properly.

Every time I use it, it starts off well, then within the first ten minutes becomes fuzzy, and almost feels like I’m walking through mud in any game I play. I love it when it works, but it’s so unreli

Wired Backhaul Connectivity keeps switching to 'Wireless'

Good day, I have been battling an issue lately which I have seen others battling. Here's the situation. I have four Google Mesh Pro 6E points. The primary is connected directly to my AT&T gigabit router, and then sends wired internet to a Netgear 20port UNMANAGED gigabit switch. From this switch, it

Firewalla Noob... First Impressions of AP7 and Gold SE

My setup: Xfinity 2Gig X8 Modem -> FWG SE => AP7 (new SSID) and Eero Pro 6E (legacy network).

Ok. So far... I love this system. I'm new to the ecosystem, but I have very few complaints. I'll layout some observations for the dev team:

1.) The Eero app seems to detect new devices a lot faster than t

Orbi AC3000 will be End Of Service within 45 Days

Crazy. I'm surprised because your Netgear Orbi AX5700 (RBK842) was released around October 2019. I have a set of eero Pro 5 purchased in 2019 still running. Looks like they'll continue providing security updates for at least another 4 years through March 2030 (https://support.eero.com/hc/en-us/artic

Frontier Actually Did The Right Thing

So I recently got Frontier Fiber after they installed it in my area, and I went with the 2-gig plan. After reading a lot of posts in this sub, I was honestly pretty nervous about their support and reliability.

But my experience so far has actually been really good. The installer showed up on time,

Metronet(t-mobile) vs att fiber experiences here in Fishers

Another vote for Metronet. I pay $92.95 (includes all taxes and fees) for 2GB down, 1GB up. We use Eero Pro 6e mesh system. My wife and I both work from home full-time and have three teenagers with streaming devices. Never any issues with streaming degradation. The only service problem we’ve had was

Time For An AirPort Extreme Comeback?

Am I the only one who thinks it’s time for a comeback of the AirPort Extreme with Wi-Fi 7 as a mesh networking option?

I currently use the eero Pro 6 with 4 hubs to cover my house and outdoor area and it works well, but I despise the lack of privacy I have with my internet traffic being monitored b

Eero Pro 6e —> AP7 Experience

I recently migrated from Eero Pro 6e access points to AP7’s. I use a Firewalla Gold SE with two WAN connections (2G + 1G). My home is a 3-story, wood framed house and around 4800 sq/ft with HVAC equipment and tile flooring causing some impact on range and signal strength.

I just migrated from 4 E

Speeds not correct???

If it's the FRX523 ONT, the active WAN port is 10 Gig, but the other inactive ports are only gigabit. However, my point still stands about the Eero Pro 6e's ports, which are definitely not 10 Gbps.
