I have my own (mini) Rocky! 🥰

Thank you! I currently have an Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra printer, which I recently upgraded to from a much smaller Elegoo Mars (first generation). It's been pretty much foolproof since I bought it, once I'd manually levelled it. I also have the Elegoo Mercury Plus v3 wash and cure station, which has hug

What is the BambuLab A1 of resin printing?

At the price point, the Saturn 4 Ultra 12k or 16k are $800-1200 of machine for $400-500. It and Heygears (at that $1200+ price point) do the most to absolve the user of tuning a dozen speeds and feeds for the Z-axis movement / release & retract cycle. Heygears does this by having their slicing and p

FDM vs Resin printed mini's - a noobs visual reference.

That's what I was thinking. I dont know if it is the water washable resin or what, but my wife and I started with resin printing with the Saturn 4 Ultra, and it prints amazing detail with out of the box functionalities. It generally either fails to print entirely or prints beautifully. Larger pieces

Looking to replace my current printers. Need input from professionals

Yeah Anycubic long term support is ass. I own an M3 Premium and they ended support for them almost 2 years ago, yet I can still order parts (other than LCDs) for my Saturn 2s from Elegoo... which are the same age as the M3 Premium. Heygears is supposed to open up some of their settings later this ye

Finally got around to setting up my printer and amazed how easy it is to use!

With my elegoo Saturn 4 it was maybe an hour max to setup before I was printing non stop, it’s been a work horse

Elegoo mars 5 competitor?

Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 16K is an amazing out the box printer. Heated vat, tilt up lid, auto leveling, send through WiFi printing and updating, and auto calibration. I’ve done NO configuration on mine besides inputting my resin type and selecting a community profile with the highest ratings. I use Sun

Good Printer for N scale

FDM printers are fine for buildings or larger things in N scale, but most anything with detail you're going to want a resin printer. Clean up time is not too crazy usually. Getting the right amount, but not too few supports for a model is a bit of an art. The more supports the more pock-marks you'll

What's the best 'click n print' beginner printer?

For Resin, I would go with Elegoo Saturn 4. Put it together. Fill with resin. Slice a print. Send it to printer. Hey Presto, you are printing. It self levels so no fiddling. Can network send prints so not running back and forth to the printer.

Anycubic vs Elegoo for beginner printers?

I have a Mars 4 (same screen) that makes amazing prints. The 5 has the benefit of faster printing due to the tilting vat. I only own Elegoo printers so can't speak to anything else. I found the Mars 4 fairly easy to approach. It doesn't matter what brand you get, the basic principles of resin printi

Defecting from Anycubic, any recommendations?

Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 16 K for the win! It has great specs, super beginner friendly and comes with a heater, self levels and the quick release vat you're looking for! My 2 cents? Always check your exposure settings. 2 Build plates and Vats sound like hell! I'm still a beginner, but so far I've had z
