What kind of smart watch are you wearing on the trails AND in the office?

Garmin epix pro gen 2. If I had to get a new one right now, I'd get the new Fenix, whatever it is. 8? But I just wear it with bright silicone bands even with suits in court, because who cares.

Not the most frugal thing I know, I just splurged on myself with a new running watch, Garmin Epix Pro gen 2 sapphire. Ran be $450, and that is on sale. I run 1000-1500 miles a year and I like data. I think it will be worth it (and a lot better than the Vivoactive 4 I've been using since 2020.)

Like I’m stupid, compare a 7 vs 8?

Fenix 7 has an older HR sensor, no LED flashlight except on 7X, and only has a MIP screen, the AMOLED model was called Epix Gen 2. Fenix 7 Pro / Epix Pro are basically the same as Fenix 8, with all the same sensors and internal hardware, and LED flashlight on every model, the main differences are: F

Has my Fitbit been lying to me?

I tried my Inspire 3 with my Garmin Epix Gen 2 over a 5 mile walk and the steps were around 500 difference. So I do trust the Inspire.

Garmin users are getting screwed, and most don’t even realize it

I have the Epix Gen 2 and have been very happy with it. 3 years on and the battery is not what it first was, but that happens with all tech devices. I get that newer models and more updates , but my watch still does everything I paid for initially. If I was to upgrade again now, the only tangible fe

Men who have cut out alcohol for health reasons (not because you're an alcoholic), what is your story?

lol I got a watch when I started running as well, and now I refuse to actually log my runs on the watch. Not sure what you have, but I have a garmin epix 2 and what frustrates me so much is the watch will judge my run and give me an endurance score based on the first quarter mile of my run. I genera

Garmin Watch

I use the Epix Gen 2. I’m primarily a runner as well but cycling at least once a week. And I too just signed up for a Sprint Tri this fall (swimming sucks for me 🤣). The Epix works great. It’s a bit heavier than some of the other options but I like that it’s rugged (I have the sapphire version). I d

Vertical 2

I have a Fenix 8 and a vertical 2 and here is what i think. Sleep tracking on the Suunto doesn't work for me. Sitting around and watch tv in the evening is considered sleeping with Suunto. Therefore a lot of metrics are not right since i sleep much longer on the watch than i really do. For hiking i

Help me decide - AMOLED or Solar

I owned the Epix 2 and now the Fenix 8. Bothing being AMOLED I've had none of these problems. I wonder if this person is challenged or had a defective watch. I used Always on Display and my watch responds immediately and I have had zero problems ever seeing the watch face. I had MIP prior and see no

Can we agree?

WARNING - this is not going to be a popular POV, but I am trying to bring a balanced perspective to this whole view that companies out there owe us future upgrades that were never part of what has been promised. ---- I saw a post about this earlier where the poster had mentioned that the hardware be
