It's not about "trying to force" anything on HDR. It's about having a proper accurate SDR-to-HDR tonemap. SDR content shouldn't be messed up just because HDR is enabled in settings. Windows' tonemap is flawed and this causes picture differences in SDR images when you switch from SDR to SDR on. Prope

Samsung Odyssey G7 Neo. Works like a charm and has really good contrast. Only issues is very slight ghosting in some games.

VA native contrast is fantastic. My Odyssey G7 still looks great next to my OLED monitor (except when showing darker elements). IPS native contrast is trash though.
