I have the money for a full frame camera for the first time since having kids. I start looking at the Z5ii and R10 and then the lenses and realize I don't want to spend almost $4,000 on a camera and lens. Does anyone also feel fine with M43 but get scared away with prices on FF?

I had a FF Sony kit and an M43 kit for the longest time. A7III for pretty much everything that wasn’t wildlife, EM1 MK3 for wildlife. On a whim, I picked up a cheap used Lumix 14-140mm mkII off of facebook and took just the Olympus with me for a trip. When I came home and went through my pics, I dum

What is it with Nikon and Social Media

The problem is other brands early mirrorless didn't suck This is just not true. First two FF Sony Alpha gens (A7 and A7 II) were issue-ridden, with lackluster color science, abysmal battery life, and mediocre AF. The first really good Sony mirrorless body was the A7 III. Canon RP was a piece of junk

Zve10 vs A7iii. A7iii has poor AF and colors lil zve10 had lot better AF and colors. Any firmware updates or anything that fixes it ?

if you shoot raw there are no color differences, because raw files don't have any color, it's mostly up to the raw processor and the camera profile that it uses https://blog.kasson.com/the-last-word/roles-of-camera-and-raw-developer-in-determining-color/ zve10 is basically an a6100, so it should hav

Should I switch from Sony to Lumix? As a wedding photographer

I went from an A7 III to S5 II (then S9) and I'd say the A7 III was more reliable autofocus wise. The S5 II is very reliable for people and eye tracking but it needs a lot more hand holding in low light. I think the swap to Lumix makes more sense if you were branching out more into video (for the IB

Eye focus woes

I had an A7III, and I'm pretty sure there is no bird eye autofocus on that model. The eye focus that's for animals is for animals like dogs and cats, according to Sony. I never really got a chance to test it on animals other than dogs, cats, and birds, but it didn't work on birds and was okay on dog

Why does my handheld footage look so bad compared to vloggers and filmmakers?

Practice or they're using phones, go pros, dji camera thing on the mini gimbal . I used to shoot on an a6600 which is almost an a7iii minus the FF and has better AF. It's you. You need to go shoot more. Stop thinking you need tools. It's literally you. People think I use a gimbal. I remind them how

Why I still can't let go of my d750

Maybe for you. theres a reason why the a7iii was so popular. Eye AF ushered in a new era in AF. Even Canon and Nikon had to develop their own version. If it wasnt such a game changer, no companies would bother include in their products.

Fast action with dog, which focus should I have used?

A7iii isnt going to track a dog running this close to the camera, unless the dog stays at roughly this distance.

Is the Rioch GR IV a good choice for me ?

I hope you're having a good time flying airliners! I'm a forever GA pilot but enjoying it as much as I can. No flight levels for me but $100 hamburgers are a great time. I've owned a Sony RX100 VII (sold), Ricoh GR III (sold), and a GR IIIx. Haven't had hands on a Ricoh GR IV but I'd like to say the

Fujifilm 27mm f/2.8 pancake or Leica D-Lux 8 or Ricoh GR III, IIIx, IV???

I had a A7iii with 35mm lens and I was your same situation. Big body, big lens: barely used on travel. I bought Fuji with 27mm pancake and I feel like it’s good choice. Perfect for street, sharp and overall fast. I use LR a lot, but i don’t think can make a big difference. Zero experience on Ricoh h
