Asked Director for LUT, Offered to sell me his LUT package

My guess is it’s the Sony A7III which shoots 4K XAVC and wraps it up in h264 mp4s. It’s 10bit and uses slog3, so absolutely professional. But when I use it I do like to transcode to a better editing codec, such as DNxHR HQX.

Is this a good deal and good starter camera?

Honestly for $700 I would skip that and get something mirrorless. Camera gear is something I think is wise to buy used, because when it's time to upgrade, you don't lose your ass. For your purposes, especially the low light activities, I'd say grab a Sony A7 ii ($500-700ish) or A7 iii body ($700-$10

HELP! 1080p Footage looks blurry and washed out. What do I need to improve next time? Is the high ISO the reason?

lessons learned: Shoot 4K even if your final video will be 1080p. Downscaled video looks a lot sharper and also denoised. 1080 footage looks horrible on those cameras. You should have tried it. Also bitrate is not enough to handle wide shots as far as I remember. (but I'm not sure if a7iii shoots 50

How many of you skip LOG and just shoot default?

I've used the A7III quite a bit before upgrading. I initially used HLG3 for a long time, as recommended by Gerald Undone, and it was a great balance between increased DR and holding together after grading. I've also used S-Log2 and S-Log3, I would not recommend S-Log3 at all the footage falls apart

Should I switch from Sony to Lumix? As a wedding photographer

I went from an A7 III to S5 II (then S9) and I'd say the A7 III was more reliable autofocus wise. The S5 II is very reliable for people and eye tracking but it needs a lot more hand holding in low light. I think the swap to Lumix makes more sense if you were branching out more into video (for the IB

Best SD card for professional photography?

No memory card (or brand) is immune to failure. You have an A7III; make sure you utilize the second card slot for redundant backup to minimize the risk.

Why does my handheld footage look so bad compared to vloggers and filmmakers?

Practice or they're using phones, go pros, dji camera thing on the mini gimbal . I used to shoot on an a6600 which is almost an a7iii minus the FF and has better AF. It's you. You need to go shoot more. Stop thinking you need tools. It's literally you. People think I use a gimbal. I remind them how

Sony a7iii creating noise around skin.

Probably used qualifier , or color slice a bit much! For 8 bit its better to be gentle ! And most importantly try to shoot HLG3 for a7iii max dynamic range is possible on this profile! And exposing a7 iii, definitely watch Gerald Undone’s video about it! Its gamechanger for exposing a7iii 💫

Z5ii vs Sony A7iii

They all use the same sensor (Sony IMX410). Most 24MP full frame mirrorless cameras (other than Canons, the original Z5, and the latest models) use this same sensor. So the A7iii, Z6, Z6ii, ZF, Panasonic S5, etc. The A7iii is roughly equivalent to the original Z6. And you’ll note that the used Z6 pr

Asked Director for LUT, Offered to sell me his LUT package

Yea, the jump from the a7III to the a7SIII and newer Sony FF mirrorless is a big one. Not just 10-bit color but also general color science and image rendering. The a7SIII sensor is what's in the FX6, though I know a lot of pros would rather use interframe codecs for everything, so XAVC S is definite
