Am I ready to buy to buy a real camera now ?
bro, where do you live? Those nature pictures are beautiful. Regarding camera, if you're buying second hand, then A7III + 35mm 1.8 is great start

Do I have the eye to go pro?
In all honesty, these are the kind of average iPhone photos anyone could get from a good seat at a big arena-size event. They don't tell us anything, and they look good because the lighting/pyro is good. Everyone's seen these shots a million times. THAT SAID (sorry for being harsh), get that Sony a7

Is this a good deal and good starter camera?
Honestly for $700 I would skip that and get something mirrorless. Camera gear is something I think is wise to buy used, because when it's time to upgrade, you don't lose your ass. For your purposes, especially the low light activities, I'd say grab a Sony A7 ii ($500-700ish) or A7 iii body ($700-$10

I have the money for a full frame camera for the first time since having kids. I start looking at the Z5ii and R10 and then the lenses and realize I don't want to spend almost $4,000 on a camera and lens. Does anyone also feel fine with M43 but get scared away with prices on FF?
I had a FF Sony kit and an M43 kit for the longest time. A7III for pretty much everything that wasn’t wildlife, EM1 MK3 for wildlife. On a whim, I picked up a cheap used Lumix 14-140mm mkII off of facebook and took just the Olympus with me for a trip. When I came home and went through my pics, I dum

Sony Cameras and Lenses Get Another Price Hike in the US
Yeah I hope the a7 iii doesn't jump up in price that much on the used market by November/December. I was really hoping to pick one up by then

Ouch there definitely is some people who dont like m43😅
On the topic of "Value for the money is not a reason anymore to get into m43": totally agree. My first camera was the Nikon D5300 DSLR (aps-c). Kit lens sucked, so I quickly added the Nikon 35mm F/1.8.This setup cost me in total €725 back in 2016. As a student, this was a huge purchase. However, the

Are Olympus PRO lenses better than FF third party ones?
The premium M43 glass, Olympus Pro line and Leica-branded Pansonic lenses, are pretty good overall, and were some of the first to show what you could really do with mirrorless lens design. Modern full-frame lenses have eaten into a lot of what was only possible in M43 a decade ago. The Olympus 12-10

Micro Four Thirds is "just getting killed" - Peter Jeune, on Petapixel Podcast 12/06/2025
I actually listened to that, and I think the interview is really thought-provoking. Sony has "just done such a good job at telling the full-frame story" It’s true—Sony really pioneered the push to democratize full-frame with the A7 III. They were so good at convincing the general audience that full-

Price of used OM-1 MK I 's are absurdly low / great bargain. Theories?
OM systems did absolutely shoot themselves in the foot by re-using old camera names that are still traded frequently in used spaces. This creates a lot of pointless confusion. Keep in mind that the OM-1, being a full-grip pro-body that appeals to more serious photographers who are expected to use he
