Ethernet between two condos

Have you investigated doing this via wireless? I share my internet with my neighbor using a mesh setup. Check out TP-Link BE63. It works flawlessly

Aimesh vs different brands access point

AI Mesh didn't work for me when I tried it with a GT-AXE16000 and RT-AX57Go. I had the bands split on the Gt-AXE16000 and instead of using the same SSID for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands as was being used for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz 1 band on the GT-AXE16000, it just used the 2.4 GHz band SSID for both

Wifi. To make the wife happy

I'm not OP. But I tried this recently at my 2 floor house. Two different teams, both exceptionally experienced in installing ethernet in homes and businesses, came to give an estimate. Both said it was going to require ripping up the entire house, basically. They were looking at some 20 holes minimu

I am getting slow speeds with TP Link Deco BE63

You should have the BE63 nodes in mesh wifi router mode, which uses the mesh for your router. You could also use the mesh in AP mode, but it sounds like there's something wrong with your IP Passthrough setup. I have an AT&T gateway here in IP Passthrough mode connected to an Asus BT10 mesh, and it w

WIFI router (mesh?) recommendations? Vital stats below. Please & Thank you!

I'm running 2 x be63 decos in our 2 story 2900 sqft home and I'm covered everywhere between 500-900mbs of my 1 gbs fiber over a wireless backhaul. These units are super easy to set up. Will cover you for 2.5gbs and wifi7

Deco Heatmap Limited Early Access - Share Your Thoughts!

How about a firmware update for the Deco BE63. Last one was 1.2.0 Build 20250718 Rel. 43949 I’ll seriously think long and hard regarding vendors when it’s time to upgrade.

Phone disconnects from BE63

I know you can mix & match different Deco units but in my experience it leads to too many issues. I recommend repurposing or selling off the M5's and getting more BE63's. Other Mesh systems don't let you mix & match different model numbers like Deco does, and it's probably for good reason. By the wa

Aging router upgrade advice

2 x be63 decos would cover you. Things are awesome, reliable, and so easy to set up. Go from your modem/ont into the main unit and then put the 2nd halfway across your house, and you're done. You could probably get away with 2 x be25's

Would you buy Google Nest Pro 6e again?

I've been using my Google nest wifi (not Pro) since 2022 and it's been working great. I was planning to upgrade to the Google nest pro 6e during black Friday/winter sales but realized that the new pro 6e nodes didn't have Google assistant speakers. Knowing that I could still use my old nodes ask Goo

Need to replace my Apple Airport-based Wifi setup

Go with tplink decos. They're super simple to setup and perform great. 3 x xe75 if you're getting 1 gbps or less or 3 x be63 units if you want to future proof up to 2.5 gbps wifi 7. I've got 2 be63 units in my 2900 sqft 2 story and I get 500-900 mbps over wifi everywhere.
