Is mesh the way to go?

TPLink Deco BE63s are super easy to setup. I used the M5s for 5 years and just graded to the BE63s yesterday. I now get fantastic speeds from one end of my house to the other.

Please recommend wired backhaul mesh network for me.

Have you considered a Deco system? I have the BE63 system. 3 of them to cover 3 floors. All are wired to each other directly and each has a switch connected to it for more Ethernet ports. Love it since each deco has 4x 2.5gbps ports too so it’s future proof for faster internet speeds. Plus WiFi 7

What wifi and/or mesh brand are you using?

I just went to TP Link Deco BE63 with 3 units in preparation of moving to fiber as it becomes available (lines were trenched in over the summer), so far so good, though I don't like that almost all management must be done with an app and not a web interface.

Deco BE25 only giving 400-500 mbps compared to the 1.2gbps mentioned in the Deco app under internet speed test

So just for kicks I turned off the 6ghz band on my BE63, made my phone renegotiate to 5ghz. If you go in the advanced settings and check your channel bandwidth for your 5ghz band, @160mhz I get about ~700-800 mbps, @80hz I get around 400mbps.. so check that I’m sitting about 5 feet away from the dec

Best Modem and Router 2025

Aris G54 if you want an absolute beast of a motor router combo. Personally though, we are running a Hitron CODA56 cable modem with a Tp-Link Deco BE63 mesh system.

which one to buy

I had the XE75 Pro 3 pack for 3 years. I recently updated my wireless to the BE63 3 pack. It's WiFi 7 just like the BE65 but just a bit slower. It's a bit less expensive too. https://www.tp-link.com/us/compare/?typeId=5757&productIds=73573,80105

Extremely Satisfied w/Firewalla

I had/have netgear cm3000 modem, and tp link be63 mesh with wired backhaul. I have an unmanaged switch, and a few RPis doing things like pihole, NAS, etc.. My BE63s were running as the router. I just set up the firewalla in router mode, and made my BE63 an AP so disabled its own routing. I couldn’t

BE63 node performance across floors without an ethernet backhaul

run a cable will always be the best option. If most of your Wi-Fi devices are upstairs, running a new cable drop to move your service to that floor is the best way to get the full benefit of your 2 Gbps service. Main router: You didn’t mention if your main router is a Deco or not. If it is, then you

Do I have other options for internet?

Sorry for the late reply. They're here on rotation every 2-3 weeks due to the bad speeds.2 times they've switched out the modem. One time they said that our wires were intertwined with someone elses, causing mixed signals, and the other times basically just did a routine check and speed test, determi
