Sorry UGREEN but this is a bad direction to be heading in. We don't want further AI bloatware on our NAS, the UGREEN AI models for photo management are enough...giving the users capabilities to integrate other AI services like Openclaw agents is a terrible idea and I see it being a security concern

You can get a proper NAS for your money, an all in one package if you like. Look for UGREEN NASync DXP4800 Plus or simmilar.

It’s not encrypted, and it’s currently not possible to encrypt it only option you have is to use the vault app - it is on their roadmap but looks like its low priority as its been pushed back from last year it seems, the data should be safe otherwise unless someone has physical access to the machine

UGREEN has a decent app that will auto sync photos from your phone and computers and such however you want to configure it. For purely storage, the DH2300 or DH4300 Plus would be perfect. I find it hard to recommend Synology, because every choice they seem to be making regarding their NAS is just "T

My thoughts exactly. I originally planned to install TrueNas on my Ugreen NAS before my purchase. However I decided to try out UgreenOS first. After a couple of days, I decided to keep it. It is simply very well designed and simply works. Also supports Docker so you can just about install any other

Honestly the cpu on the ugreen NAS isn’t anything special for AI use. Just a middle of the road intel processor. If AI is your primary goal I’d look elsewhere
