What is the best monitor for Mac mini M4 as of 2026?
I commented on your other post too but I’ll post here for anyone else that sees. The Dell S2725QC is a great budget 27” 4K monitor with USB-C connectivity and decent built in speakers too. The colors are great and text is nice and sharp. Apple's Studio Display is “the best” for Mac if you want to sp

What's the best monitor for Mac Mini M4 as of 2026 that people recommend the most?
I have 2 Dell S2725QC for my M4 Mac mini and they’re great. Best budget monitor for the Mac in my opinion. It’s 27” 4K with 120hz refresh rate and USB-C connectivity with decent built in speakers too! Apple's Studio Display is “the best” for Mac if you want to spend that much.

How much did your external display actually change things? Asking before I make a mistake I can't return
I’ll recommend the Dell S2725QC also. For a 4K monitor with good color accuracy out-of-the-box, it’s a good place to start until you decide and/or know what you need and want in a display after many hours of use.

What would be the cheapest monitor for Mac that doesn’t look like shit?
I have 2 of the Dell S2725QC 27" 4K 120 Hz monitors and they're great and only $299 ($249 lowest price I've seen) Text is nice and sharp, colors are vibrant and it comes with a USB-C hub and decent speakers built in.

M4 Mac Mini
Out of the 2 monitors, the S2725QC is a great choice for your M4 Mac mini. On a 27 inch 4K display you can use macOS’s “Looks like 2560×1440” scaling, which gives you the same physical text size as the QHD model but with much sharper text, and the M4 handles this scaling without issues. It looks lik

i feel you on the scaling worry. macOS handles 4k at 1440p-equivalent scaling by default, so text isn't tiny - it just uses more pixels for sharper rendering. the qhd monitor will look a bit softer for text. for research and documents, the Dell 27 Plus 4K USB-C Monitor - S2725QC gives you crisper te

Should I ditch my oversized desktop setup for a laptop?
If you really want a clean setup with as few cables as possible, get a monitor that has USB-C. One cable will power your laptop, send display signal to the monitor, and usually there's an integrated USB hub with 2-4 ports, too. I have this Dell but there are lots of others like this: https://www.del
