Panasonic I beg you we need an updated GM1

You understand that as soon you add IBIS it will no longer be a “GM1 markll”… not even a “GM5 markII”. It needs to be thicker. In the dream land (Panasonic as any other company is ruled by their finances and bets that have profit) I would prefer them to make the possibly smallest IBIS+PDAF camera wi

Lumix L10 Preview (Micro Four Nerds)

I'm sorry but I feel like Panasonic is helpless. They swing and miss with everything since the GX85. I love what they are trying to do but this leaves so many questions. I also love Emily's videos, but she is a content creator, she raves about a camera like the OM-3, then a couple weeks after her "1

Any Lumix Cameras Around $2000 That are Just as Good, If Not Better Than The Sony FX30?

Disclosure: I own the G9 II and shoot on GH7's and FX30's for work. I'm gonna have some bias towards the Panasonic offering so take this with a grain of salt. The G9 II is probably the closest you can get in the Lumix lineup at a cheaper price point. It's currently on sale at Amazon for 1.6k body on

Hope there will be future lens like Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8

No point for M43 to compete in areas where it's 100% losing out. Better to focus on it's strengths like portability and good enough image quality. As others have mentioned, once you factor in equivalence everything falls apart. Lenses like the 8-25 and 40-150 f4 are great examples that embody the M4

You’d never tell the difference with Reddit image compression.

Actually the Panasonic 10-25mm F1.7 is around a F3.4 full frame dof, slightly shallower dof than the 16-35mm F4 on your S9, maybe consider a 16-35mm F2.8. Unless you mean stabilisation... in which I don't think you can match the m43 GH7/G9ii on full frame

What kind of two-cameras setup would you favour for low-light events [documentary]? Any advice is welcome, please see the text too.

I saw a recent comparison of the IBIS of one of the latest Panasonic FF cameras vs the G9ii or GH7 and the person who did it reached the conclusion that that FF camera in particular had better IBIS. Considering how much tech has advanced, it might be more of an issue of Olympus vs Sony than m43 vs F

Why is it that nobody ever mentions any camera but olympus?

At least for M43, Panasonic’s newer cameras are either kinda middling (G100) or well-specced but bulky (GH7, G9ii). Seems like the preference is for smaller/lighter bodies with good features/IBIS, and Oly/OM just covers that better. That said, go check the used prices for the GX and GM lines, people

Best hybrid camera (ideally sony)

Youll find eventually that you dont want a hybrid camera at all, because the ergonomics of a Photocamera is poor for shooting Video, and vise versa. Just get 2 diffrent cameras. Even the Lenses, you want manual ones for Video and automatic ones for Photografy. A good way for you might be a uses FX30

S1ii and S1iie fully leaked on Weibo

It's baffling, specially as they need to gain market share. Nikon even has internal RAW, will this have it? And if it does, will it be an useful codec or the same useless ProresRaw that's on the GH7? What I can Panasonic offering is better color science, much better IBIS, Open Gate and better interf

What are best performing O.I.S. lenses for something like the GH7?

You may already know these terms, but for all who might read this…. TLDR: Image stabilization Olympus and Panasonic don’t play nice with each other. Image stabilization as a topic is I.S. When it is done only in the body of the camera it is “In Body Image Stabilization” - IBIS. when it is done in th
