Why is it that nobody ever mentions any camera but olympus?
Olympus / OM has always been the dominant brand in M43s. Not that nobody uses Panasonic. Panasonic have also not exactly been doing a lot in the M43s space in recent years. There’s still plenty of good gear but what is relatively new is fairly niche (GH7 for example). OM has much more of the mainstr

Why is the G9ii more expensive than the S5ii?
S5ii is Panasonics entry level full frame camera made using quite an older sensor that. The g9ii is a more niche product but also a higher end model, just that its a m4/3 which some will see as a crippled camera. I personally would take gh7 over a s5ii anyday of the week

Any Lumix Cameras Around $2000 That are Just as Good, If Not Better Than The Sony FX30?
Disclosure: I own the G9 II and shoot on GH7's and FX30's for work. I'm gonna have some bias towards the Panasonic offering so take this with a grain of salt. The G9 II is probably the closest you can get in the Lumix lineup at a cheaper price point. It's currently on sale at Amazon for 1.6k body on

ARRI Enters The Mobile Era With HONOR In A Strategic Partnership
Panasonic GH7 supports ARRI LogC3. I would argue that the very mention of the partnership with ARRI contributed to a the sales of this camera rather handsomely. Even if ARRI LogC3 is a separate, paid feature. Especially, as numerous YouTube creators proved its compatibility with ARRI cameras. By whi

Why are People Switching from Lumix to Fuji?
I switched from Fujifilm to Lumix, albeit the G system. I now have a GX9 which I absolutely love. Panasonic, where is your damn GX9ii? My wallet is ready! Yes, the physical control dials of Fuji are nice, they are in muscle memory and I still kinda miss them. But Fuji is mediocre otherwise. The film

S5iix or GH7 for family/travel videos?
I don't have the GH7, but I've got an S5iix. While I do love the camera and I knew that L mount lenses weren't quite as available as some of the competition (Sony in particular), I do feel like the amount of lenses available and the price of them is at least a bit more detrimental than I thought. Worst expensive investment?
A good portion of what you’re talking about certainly is true, but so is a good portion of what you’re talking about completely subjective. At the end of the day, a camera is no more than a box with a sensor in it. There is so much more that goes into a good videographer and cinematographer and no,

2 new Lumix cameras registered
What more could the GH8 actually add that the GH7 doesn’t already have? More resolution? Higher frame rates? On such a small Micro Four Thirds sensor, increasing resolution feels pointless. I think Panasonic has already extracted close to the maximum dynamic range possible from a sensor of this size

Best hybrid camera (ideally sony)
Youll find eventually that you dont want a hybrid camera at all, because the ergonomics of a Photocamera is poor for shooting Video, and vise versa. Just get 2 diffrent cameras. Even the Lenses, you want manual ones for Video and automatic ones for Photografy. A good way for you might be a uses FX30

S1ii and S1iie fully leaked on Weibo
It's baffling, specially as they need to gain market share. Nikon even has internal RAW, will this have it? And if it does, will it be an useful codec or the same useless ProresRaw that's on the GH7? What I can Panasonic offering is better color science, much better IBIS, Open Gate and better interf
