From my own experience/collection: Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro would be my top choice for your purpose. One of the most comfortable closed headphones out there for extended use. Toxicity, no skips I also happen to have HD 280 Pro headphones from Sennheiser that have fantastic noise isolation, so that helps on top.

Sennheiser HD 280s I found them to have just as much isolation as the Vic Firths but more comfortable and better sounding. The only thing I dislike is the curly cable.
