FX30 or FX3 or something else?
An S1ii costs less than an FX3 and outperforms it. If I didn't have Sony glass I'd take that over an FX3 or FX30 any day (I'm still shooting Sony with over 1k paid gigs done on an a7siii/FX3 so not a Panasonic shill, just being objective)

Does this seem like a good deal? Its 3k for the lot
Saying an fx3 let alone an fx30 delivers a better image than a ursa g2 is so far from reality. The Ursa has one of the best latitudes for a S35 sensor, build in ND's, RAW flexibility and overall a better user interface. The image quality outperforms both the fx3 and fx30 in lab tests. Media options

Sony FX6 Peaking is incorrect
Same issue on FX3, FX30, Burano... Sony doesn't want you to use anamorphic unless you're using a Venice and paying them a license for anamorphic firmware. There are other quirks you might encounter shooting anamorphics on Sony bodies, but don't expect them to fix them

Heavily leaning towards an FX2 right now. Bad idea?
So as someone who’s owned the A7iii, A7iv & Fx30; as well as I currently own the A7S iii, Fx3 & I just picked up the Fx2 I would say the Fx2 is a really good starter. It’s essentially an A7iv or A7C ii in a cinema line body. Truthfully I don’t shoot 4k 120 often and I do a lot of commercial and docu

FX30 una Cámara Legendaria.
Speaking from my own experience, I can tell you that the Sony FX30 is absolutely worth it in 2026—and rest assured, it will remain worth it for a very, very long time to come. To address the commentary currently being generated regarding the feature sets of cameras from other manufacturers—such as P

I want to buy 2x FX Cinema Cameras. But I don't want to record in S-log or Cinetone. Based on this, which one should I go for and does this make me stupid for considering a FX3?
Hey, I’m on fx30 with a rig and audio equipment invested into the ecosystem at this point too— first off congrats for looking into the fx line. They really are special cameras and you can’t go wrong with any of them. First off I’ll explain that s-cinetone is actually just a picture profile preset, w

What competitors colour sciences/log profiles integrate well with Slog3?
Don't know exactly if any other brands necessarily "match well" with Slog 3, but if i could make a recommendation I would tell you to consider investing in a Color Chart such as those from X-Rite or Datacolor. I bought a Datacolor SpyderCheckr a couple of years ago and it's AMAZING for getting a goo

Convince me to switch
For wedding photography I think you'd be better off keeping the FX30 as your A camera, especially if you rely on autofocus. The main advantage with the BMPCC 4K is the better flexibility for grading: I have an FX30 as well and while the footage is much more flexible than I feared (in terms of adjust

Is the upgrade from fx30 to fx3 worth it?
I have an FX3, FX30, A7V and A7IV and I’d say go for the A7V. A7V has better AF better, better Ibis, is cheaper, sharper image, allows you to import viewing luts, better screen, allows smart AF while in clear image zoom. 8000 base ISO is a lot more practical then 12,800 and having to ND or stop down

DJI Mic 2 or RØDE Wireless GO 3 for outdoor videos? Also confused between FX30 and A7 IV
Another one of the audio options I was also looking at was the sennheiser profile wireless lavs. It has 32bit float AND locking 3.5mm ports for more secure setup (which means you could “screw in” a lav mic). With the other options like Røde pros you get 32bit but not locking lavs. Since you mentione
